They just recently did some work to the effects in the building, but my luck of the draw every single time I have ridden it sense I have gotten the storm show so I don’t know if that show is not working but the effects for storm seemed to be ?

It depends on how many trains they’re running. If they’re running 3 trains, each train has its own showscene that day. If they’re running 4 or 5 trains they rotate on an A->B->C pattern. At that point it’s mainly a luck of the draw to see what showscene you get.

Were there any significant changes this season for Verbolten? I went to the park back in Memorial Day and haven't been back. I know the ride received some tlc; so I was curious to know what had changed.

Noticed yesterday, Verbolten got new spiels. I wasn't paying attention enough to notice exactly which ones were different, but I know for a 100% fact the one thanking you for riding was different. I can't remember it word for word, but it ended with "thank you for riding Verbolten, auf wiedersehen". The old one ended with "enjoy the rest of your day at Boosh Gardens, auf widersehen". It's still the same womans voice. More of that spiel was different too, I just can't remember the rest

On another note. Oh my god have the lights gotten bad. I rode it twice, got the wolf variant once, and the default/storm/forest one once. Not counting the lights at the drop track (there were maybe 3 of 4 there) I literally counted 5 lights in the entire ride that worked. 5. The forest one wasn't great either, but I didn't bother counting for it.

I have noticed it's been darker on recent ride to honestly I find that more enjoyable the the non filtered light we had seen in recent years. I think it's the second best option to return the blackout curtains.

I’ve heard the new spiel twice, haven’t been able to make out what it said at all, but I do know it was different. The old one is still being used more often (at least when I’ve been there)

It’s the same spiel, but between “please lift up on your safety bar” and “enjoy the rest of your day…”
They added: “Thank you, and danke schoen for braving Verbolten!”

Wow, super weird. It’s like finding out a favorite song has an extended version with a verse you’ve never heard before.

No complaints from me though. If anything, the “danke schoen” adds an extra little layer of German theming.

What was the reason behind that change?
Honestly, not sure. I wonder if it has to do with the train parking/harness release time? Seems like the harnesses take longer to release so maybe the longer time to release allows them to have a little more creativity with the exit spiel?

In any case, I’m actually happy they put the effort into keeping the theme going with the spiel, despite the update.

Someone on Facebook said that she used to be a ride op for Verbolten, and that it is basically just a secret one that the ride ops can choose to use if they want. From what her and a few other people had said, I think it's been there since the ride was built. Maybe just wasn't used much until one of the current op crews started using it?

I heard it’s always been part of the ride. But operations have to manually queue it.

Interesting. It sounds like they’re trying to do it more often though.

A few weeks back, had an interesting few rides in a row where none of the effects were running. The show building just had the dim purple lighting and the ambient wind sounds going but none of the show scenes or props were activating. It was definitely and interesting experience.

Also, last week we got the spirit theme a few times and the drop track was activating at different point during the sequence. Usually the spirit says three things before it drops, but on a couple of the rides, the track would drop and send us into the second launch without the third audio clip ever playing.

Came across this video from a while back. It's 14 minutes of ASMR from the drop track. The person was filming and dropped it on the catwalk during the drop. Then it was repeatedly dropped over and over again.
