Honestly, I noticed that years ago (2013) as I did that myself for a ride... never again... Ops will probably get a talking to about making sure guests are seated all the way back with the harness down comfortably. Maintenance will probably reset all the harness limit switches to close a little more. The biggest price will be for larger guests who will no longer be able to ride as the harness has to close 4-6" closer than before. Best case, they add non-inductive proximity sensors in the back of the bottom seat (butt sensors) to notify the operators if someone isn't sitting all the way back.

Damn, Verbolten's now the airtime king of the park, I might actually become a fan of the ride...Actually, no, restraint stupidity plus ejector airtime equals dead guest and liability for the park. We don't want a Shockwave or Raven incident. Wait, does Verbolten still have the on-ride video, or did that guy bring an unsecured video device onto the ride, which is just more bad behavior?

(And while I'm here, I'll just say that when I was at the park yesterday, I overheard a woman in the group behind me in line for Griffon say she didn't like Verbolten's drop track, so I chimed in and agreed. Probably the happiest off-ride moment I've had at a park.)

Jesus Christ. That guy is nuts.

Coming to Verbolten, Spring 2021: Comfort collars!
Over-the-shoulder seat belts would actually make sense seeing as the ride is supposed to be a car. Comfort Collars, as in the big meaty slabs of rubber introduced on Tempesto, are nothing like automotive seat belts and would definitely not be welcome.

Okay, I hate the idea of seatbelts on Verbolten. But if they were ever going to add an additional restraint, a car-style seatbelt would be hilariously thematic.

Apparently the guy is an ace rep

Not being part of ACE, I'd think they'd can that guy's membership for grossly circumventing ride safety restraints and park rules regarding their usage assuming you're correct and he's a member. Geez dude, way to give your organization a permanent black eye at one of the parks it was founded in!

Ace had pretty strong rule about this type of stuff/

Under In park behavior

"Conduct at Park
  1. Members must follow all park policies, rules and instructions, including but not limited to those relating to: use of seat belts, lap bars, shoulder harnesses and other safety restraints; loose articles on rides; use of cameras, phones or recording devices on rides; seat selection; line jumping; and trespassing in restricted park areas. Members must conduct themselves in a responsible, safe, and well-behaved manner and must set a positive example for other park patrons. Members are to avoid confrontation with park personnel, patrons or other people. Members can report violations by other patrons to park personnel"
And under General conduct.

  1. "Members wearing the ACE logo, attending ACE events or identifying themselves as ACE members should be especially aware that their behavior affects ACE's reputation.
  2. Detrimental conduct directly or indirectly threatening or harmful to ACE, its members, property or reputation; misbehavior at any ACE event or park; or violation of ACE’s Constitution and Bylaws is a violation of this code and subject to disciplinary action."
Seem to me that those actions would violate all three of those rules.

Then in my fanboy fantasy knock Verbolten down if they won't fix the show building, and return Die Wildkatze to its original plot, as a stopgap while they develop a new generation swinging suspended coaster to bring back the Wolf.

I honestly don’t know what you are attempting to achieve by spamming the Forum (now to include in threads dedicated to rides no longer in the park) with your views on Verbolten. In all likelihood, everyone who is even a casual reader here knows you hate Bolt and want to bring back BBW, especially since you have been saying it consistently since at least 2017.

You are not sharing any useful information or convincing anyone new. Really, all you seem to be doing is annoying other members and creating ill-will.

Why not just contribute to the conversation without adding the gratuitous references to how awful you think Bolt is?
