RE: Verbolten

I just thought of something; I doubt the fifth train will be white or grey. A gray train on gray track would probably look really bad. And the reason I don't think it will be white is because of the event building. White glows under blacklight and I think that it would distract you from the theming if the train was glowing. Just a thought, though. I honestly think it could be a salmon (pinkish-orange) color. It seems like a likely color for a classic car and MAN would that look cool!

Also, I was thinking of classic German cars, I realized that I had forgotten the other German car in our driveway (the other being the Porsche I mentioned earlier.) While they are often thought of as British, turns out that MINI Coopers are popular in Germany, and I remember being fascinated with the older-style ones when we bought ours. Now that I think about it, a classic-looking MINI themed train would look great on this coaster if it were dark blue or a goldish-yellow color. Could we possibly be seeing a MINI-themed Verbolten train?

So far, here is what I think they will be:

*Red Porsche 911 (like the one in the teaser video)
*Light green Mercedes (essentially a generic-looking classic sports car like this one: https://encrypted-tbn3.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTdBH3epKWRz63nFwl1eQUmFUq1-FZk_niCgF6ZcyOwJDpEUYtNAQ and I think this is what is under the plastic in the pictures posted a little while ago)
*Light yellow VW Beetle
*Blue MINI Cooper
*Salmon Porsche 356, like the ones that look more rounded around the edges, such as this one: https://encrypted-tbn1.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRFH75REbSt91Pw4JQKo90NeRmdXgilhCdlAGtjam8xaraWB2ch5w

Wouldn't other colors like blue, red, green, and especially yellow glow too? For example, like how Spencer's has colored streams with those colors for black light parties, because they glow. So perhaps the trains are supposed to glow? I think this would be the coolest thing ever, riding in a glowing train, and if the other special effects are super amazing, they will stand out as well.

I think this is a strange color thought, but it could be. Any sample of what kind of shade of this color would be used?

I can see a mini-cooper can be used, but the train will still be the same size as the others will 16 total seats, two columns, and 8 rows.

Medium Red Porsche 911 - By far, the most likely of all to have, with it advertised in all the videos and posters.

Light Green Mercedes - Also a great guess, I can honestly envision it now.

Bright Yellow VW Beetle - Another classic the beetle, I think is very accurate.

Bright Blue Mini Cooper - This is likely, but still not too sure about it.

Salmon Porsche 365 - I can totally see this.

The biggest thing we should probably look at, is the headlights. I think the headlights on all five of the different trains will each be very similar in style. I don't know why, but to me it just feels that way.

RE: Verbolten

Have we seen any confirmation that there will be different cars? All I got out of that video was different colors and license plates...

Yes, in the video Larry said each train will have a different theme, so when the riders get on they will have a different train to experience or something along those lines. Which screams out to me, different cars being used.

RE: Verbolten

I highly doubt it. We've seen one style in the concepts, in the plans, and what seems to be under those tarps. I'm thinking they'll be different colors with custom licence plates.

RE: Verbolten

I thought that the WOLFXNG license plate was for the car in the fountain thing out front, by the ride entrance. My guess is that the trains will all be the same German car style with different colors and maybe different graphics printed on them: like vines, gnomes, etc...

Also, BTW, MINI was a British company and is now owned by BMW, I doubt they'd use them for the ride (also, they'd remind me too much of Backlot at KD, and I'd hate them for that...)

I agree with you and have the same feeling that the trains seating is going to be like the Backlot trains. But, don't think they will copying the lap bar which I'm not big fan of the lap bars on the Backlot coaster.

BGW know it all needs to give Mr. Ghost a big thanks for snipping the pictures of the first train

RE: Verbolten

Not sure If this has been post here yet but check out the video of the ride Thirteen from across the pond at Alton Towers in England. The ride was constructed by Intamin and opened on 20 March 2010. It is the world's first vertical freefall drop roller coaster - on which the track and train freefall approximately five metres in darkness. I have heard this is some what what verbolten will do.

RE: Verbolten

I think it was posted, but its ok.

Its how Busch and Zierer got the idea for this ride. But, ours will drop once without any pause in between and will not go backwards like the one in England. This is based a YouTube video done by Theme Park Review and was posted in this thread showing the drop track testing at Zierer's factory set to Pink Panther theme music. This drop track will more in likely be near the exit of the event building which is just before the second launch section in the track.

RE: Verbolten

The drop track IS right before the exit and before the second launch. It was established when the plans were leaked and when it could be seen during Christmas Town when they first installed it before the event building was built.

RE: Verbolten

So how do we think the drop will be themed? Cars don't just randomly fall through the road, so it will have to be themed to something. Concept art has shown it being themed to driving into a sort of gorge, so could it possibly be themed to that?

RE: Verbolten

What I was thinking was the train enters a room, you see a pair of red eyes, hear a howling wolf, and then the track drops underneath. I'm hoping the BBW "tribute" inside the building is like that. It would be awesome.

I think a branch in the shape of a claw has something to do with it as well.

The drop into the gorge is essentially the finale over the river.

RE: Verbolten

I would like to see the drop theme to the gnomes. I thinking like going into a tree trunk and all the gnomes on each side holding their lanterns. Just an idea that i think would be cool.:D

God, I hope not. We don't need anther "Its a Small World" type ride experience.

does that video cover the entire ride? the duration of the ride seems quite short and not very fast speed wise. I'm glad Verbolton kept that awesome final drop into the Rhine River.

RE: Verbolten

Im thinking the drop will incorporate those "gnarly hands" somehow. Those were the big strange 'branches' that resemble strange haunting hands trying to capture you while you are in the middle of the Black Forest.

So in my opinion, those gnarly hands will be above you as you stop on the drop track, they will descend as if about to capture you (meanwhile there is a 'dead end', 'road closed', or 'danger ahead' sign in front of you). At the moment you think these hands will get you, the track falls, and you are almost immediately launched out of the building.... to seeming freedom, until you reach the final obstacle, the broken bridge...

Thoughts?

RE: Verbolten

^^Very possible, but I was thinking, going along with the teaser video, the car will appear to be trapped by vines and then you drop and launch away. Since before the drop in the video you see the vines attack the car.
