RE: Verbolten

^Well, the whole station (facade, interior, etc.) is going to be COMPLETELY re-done. I mean even the floors are going to be different. If you notice in the video they tore out the floors and put in steel supporting structures for the floors near the track.

Also, whoever was saying that they might fill the area near the two launches with dirt or water, that is EXTREMELY unlikely. I say this because they would never have supports just coming out of the ground. They are not designed to do that. That is what the footers are for - they are the connection of the supports and the ground and are always at ground (or water) level. You will never see supports in dirt or water. And as seen in the footage/pics, the footers are down at ground level.

Notice in the video the metal framing in front of the station. Added themed queue I'd say.

It's the new ride exit/photo & video screens/ merchandise store I believe.

No. According to the leaked plans, it's the ride operator's booth... The photo/video/merch store is where the old BBW/MT merch store was... That is way too small for an effective store

...Which is the front of the station... I know where the above-track operations booth is.

RE: Verbolten

the booth for purchases? or the on ride cameras in front of every row? These cams will produce stills and video for dvd purchase.

The system they are installing is similar to what KD had for Volcano and it videoed the whole ride from the start to the finished and after you come back to the station, then you can get to view your ride. But, I didn't purchase any of these videos so I don't know if they can give you a stills from the ride. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they can produce stills from the video of the ride.

RE: Verbolten

It should be by the exit, that's where all the picture booths are. By the way, Pompeii will no longer feature pictures anymore due to a lack of interest by the public. Anyways, I'm sure they take the video and you can buy that or they can take the video and split it up into the still frames and you can choose to get still frame pictures.

RE: Verbolten

Let's hope they get a system that works... When I went on volcano, my video never showed up :(

RE: Verbolten

Can someone link me back to the YouTube video of the audio they were "using" in the Verbolten behind the scenes videos? I cant find it..

RE: Verbolten

They should use the system that they use at Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. They just have a bunch of kiosks at the exit for people to go through. There's actually a similar system at Cheetah Hunt too now that I think of it. Video at the launches, as well as pictures.

RE: Verbolten

Maybe that's the system they are gonna use. Are these kiosks self serve or do you pick out your video from the kiosk after you are happy with it?

RE: Verbolten

In the plans, it did say something about kiosks... So that is probably right... It sounds cool

RE: Verbolten

Here is a description of what you will do when you get off the ride... First you will get off the train (obviously, we don"t want to do this because we love the ride so much :)), turn right and walk to the front of the station. You will then go up some stairs and cross over the track while passing by the control booth. You will then go down some stairs and either go down some more stairs to Oktoberfest (at least that's what it looks like, but it may just be employee access) or enter the photos/merchandise section. You will first come to some self-serve kiosks and video monitors. Then you can turn left and go out to Oktoberfest, or you can keep walking straight and go into the traditional, full-service photos store. From there you can turn left and go into the merchandise store. You can the merchandise store has 2 doors that you can return to Oktoberfest.

They were self serve. But there was an employee nearby to help.

RE: Verbolten

That's going to be cool and will the first for this park to have self service ride on video/photo.
You will then go up some stairs and cross over the track while passing by the control booth.
This is another first for the park to have the main control booth (main console) above the track, since they're will be no room for the main control console on the station floor due to needing the room for duel train loading.
