Before Paint/stain/lacquer-gate broke out did anyone notice in the pictures posted there is what appears to be a small balcony with glass (doors maybe) behind it? Would the building possibly have A second floor for some other purpose. Maybe a staff only area? Or just maybe purely ornamental? Just an observation.

Looks like a new elevated mini-stage...Jack is Back? Mr. Hankey?!? ;)

I can't imagine working over a bathroom. Yuck.

Hopefully it is just there to add to the verisimilitude.

It's just for looksies. If the porch had a purpose, It would have a door leading to it instead of a window. I'm sure everybody will be fighting for the chance to occupy the 'stinky' office :)

I can see it now. They perform Jack is Back there, and people ask "is the entrance to the party in that building over there? Wait..This is a bathroom...Awesome!"

From the picture it was hard to tell if it was a window or door as you cant really see the bottom of it all that well.

Well, the fence to the bathrooms is down and gone, but the bathrooms are not open yet. I have to say, they building looks fantastic, and if the fireplace works, it would be awesome during christmastown!! I can't wait to use them!! (I can't believe I'm this excited about bathrooms! :p)

The bathrooms looked excellent, I loved that they stained the wood, it looks a lot better, and all the details are just amazing, very well done. Aren't you guys glad they didn't paint it purple now?

But for some reason, whenever I see them, it makes me think of a cabin in the Smokies, I think it's because of the Green paint they put on the doors, and roof.

I think it makes the rest of New France look rustic, this is more modern. There's nothing wrong with the rest of New France, they are just older buildings. I think slowly buildings in New France will start to get replaced, until it looks a lot fresher, it's just a matter of time.

They won't replace any building in New France until they start to become structurally unstable or if a retheme/renovation is planned. It is too costly and it consumes too much time. The bathrooms are a perfect example, even if replacing buildings one by one, one mistake during the project can set them back by months.
