Any word on when Ole' Nessie will open back up for the summer?

At this point, the best guess for when anything could be opening is “after the end of Food and Wine,” because that’s when the park is no longer framing things through a “limited capacity event.” But we technically have no idea whether that will result in the rides currently not open joining the lineup, or if staffing shortages will continue to complicate those efforts.

Funnily enough - so I recently got done surgery done on my leg and am left with an odd-shaped scar. Until now I had no interest in getting a tattoo, but was thinking roller coaster for this - not sure I'd go with Nessie but that's pretty inspirational

So is this not the right group to shout, Tear it down!?!? :) Got a few rides on it, I wouldn't miss it. Replace it, but keep the iconic loops.
Curious as to why you (and undoubtedly many others) say this ride is so rough? I have ridden many other arrow loopers that are much rougher than LNM is. Perhaps try the ride in the very back row. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but trust me, all of the janky spots smooth out wonderfully when you get in the back row. And as a major bonus, you get arguably the best airtime in the park on the first / third drops.

Edit: after doing a quick reread of your post I understand you aren't explicitly saying the ride is rough but my point still stands with the general opinion on the ride.

Back row airtime is divine. Back row jackhammering in the loops is rather awful.

Comparing LNM to most other Arrow loopers is a very low bar for comfort. I used to ride the original Steel Phantom over and over and over. Roughest Arrow of any kind I’ve ever been on, far worse than DF or Anaconda. Loved it anyway. That doesn’t really change LNM’s present state, though. If the park could smooth out the Z-axis oscillations for upside-down riders, I’d marathon it like I used to. But that’s easier said than done.

Any idea why the unlimited quick queue pass allows only for one time entry to Loch Ness? It used to be unlimited like the other coasters. From what I recall Loch Ness is the least popular of the BGW coasters.
