The storm bracings are gone, all ground supported track has been removed, and Zumanjaro's gondolas have been taken off the structure.

Well stated in the post above - the implosion will almost seem merciful at this point.

Worth noting that ClebyHerris will no longer be posting drone updates, so day to day changes unfortunately won’t be seen anymore.

Hopefully it comes down soon, seeing it sit there waiting to be imploded is more sad than the closure itself for me.

This picture reminds me of something out of a family album. A great grandfather who you believe will be around forever... and is almost indestructible. There's a majesty about him and you think there is no way his time will come. He fought in wars, had tons of kids and lived a heroic life. There's so much that made him the legend that he is. Then the day comes... his death. However sad, his death truly is the time when his legacy shines. In his most vulnerable moment, exposed, worn, naked (or in the case of ka, most of the track and supports gone) his family and friends gather around and see him still as the great man he is. They give him a beautiful send off and he goes out in a blaze of glory. The memories they had together live on!

So do his children...

And who knows what Kingda Ka's spiritual child will look like? 😛

So yeah... quite the photo.

I also hope Six Flags spreads some of its ashes... to us lay folk :)

Bittersweet as all hell, but I still believe it’s in the park’s best interest long term and I’m glad the waiting period is over. Gonna be some absolutely insane footage to see.
