Clearest view we’ve gotten yet. Airtime hill track is almost fully gone and launch track is gone. Implosion should be within the next week.

I actually wound up in the place next to that KFC yesterday, Tommy's Inn (the one with the horse statue). The owners/staff were very pleasant and told me I could walk around their property to take pictures. They said they love being next to the park and go there on a regular basis!

We shared some nice conversation and they were gracious enough to give me a seat facing the window so I could stare longingly at the ride. They restaurant is closed on Mondays but will be open for every possible demolition date, so they'll definitely be seeing and hearing it when it goes down. I may try and post up in there for a bit one day if I have the opportunity.

Its supposed to snow overnight from 11th to 12th then rain and sleet overnight 12th to 13th. The 14th is dry and clear, then heavy rain on the 15th and 16th. So assuming they want clear weather for the demo they either need to do it early Tuesday or on Friday. That or its delayed to next week.

Dare Devil Dive is almost gone (figured that wouldn’t take long) and a noticeable amount of further track has been removed from Ka. Looking like Lantern’s lift hill might outlive Ka at this point lol

I would think the uncertainty of the weather also contributed to there being a date range. Allegedly a rumor started circulating about the tower missing this morning, but with the foggy conditions that's rather hard to believe. Putting aside the distance aspect for a moment (maybe the person had trouble seeing and was mistaken, if not outright fibbing); if I'm the company responsible for this implosion, this is going to be a major part of my portfolio and I'd want very clear footage documenting it.

Edit: It is indeed still standing (for now...).

Yeah just saw that, with the weather we’re supposed to have tomorrow with the added bonus that local news will be focused on the Eagles parade it seems like the perfect opportunity to take it down without much fanfare.

This is surreal. Is there any live video feed or is it possible there may be no documentation of this? It’s very sad, but also historic, and deserves to be seen.
