I think Tempesto will always be hated in Williamsburg far more than it would be at basically any other park just because it is so obviously diametrically opposed to the entire founding ethos of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

At a normal regional amusement park, it's perfectly nice. At Kings Dominion or Six Flags America, it would be a welcome addition. That said, a short, gaudy, gimmicky, plywood and spray paint-themed clone of a Six Flags coaster feels wrong squeezed into Busch Gardens Williamsburg next to an entirely original, groundbreaking, majestic-looking B&M.

Some people think this is "unfair" to Tempesto but, truthfully, I think it's more unfair to evaluate coasters outside of their context. For many coasters, context is a benefit (the terrain and theming of Big Bad Wolf, Volcano's mountain, etc.) but, in my opinion, Tempesto is the flip side of that coin—the park in which it sits makes the coaster far worse than it would be otherwise. I do appreciate the negatives listed here. But I enjoy Tempesto, it's there, and not going anywhere. Ideally, it might be somewhere else, but whatever led to its current location, they're not going to spend to take it apart and move it. If anything, perhaps they could retheme and redecorate at some point. Until then, I'll just enjoy it for what it is.

Shit, I enjoy Tempesto! Being taller, the ride doesn’t hurt me, but it really is a pain to get in and out that’s for sure! Only thing I don’t like is that it’s up Apollo’s ass, Apollo didn’t ask for that! If it doesn’t have a wait I’ll normally ride, other than that time Zachary and I needed a photo of Pantheon because Apollo was closed and we waited 30+ mins...gotta do what you gotta do.

You guys have it all wrong. Tempesto was built so that when Pantheon goes down, you can still feel some of the same forces and not feel so disappointed. Tempesto solely exists to alleviate the long lines for a coaster they knew they'd build in 2020 back in 2015. Thus one shall conclude BGW is THE MOST forward-thinking park in Virginia.

Change my mind. ?

Contrary to my previous post, I do like this ride. It's a cool quick intense ride and Ill definitely ride it if its line isn't 30+ minutes. I really don't like its location though.

Are the comfort collars more problematic than the i305 restraints? Since I wear glasses, if I forget to look straight up when I pull that restraint down, it'll knock my glasses off my nose even with a eyeglass strap on. But looking straight up resolves that problem.

They're much worse than i305's restraints in my opinion. They're flimsier and more rubbery, so unlike i305's pads which hug your body, the comfort collars sort of flop around you throughout the ride, and the extra wiggle room creates more lateral movement to slam against the hard rubber. Knowing that they're totally unnecessary probably makes them worse.

I still think, if 2021 is a single attraction, they consider moving this jangled piece of steel to that area to create more of a draw to FP.

Then, they could do a full retheme of the Festering area when they do a remodel of the Roman cistern/aqueduct ride.

If only BGW waited 5 more years for Tempesto. Even the color scheme for the concept is better.

...This ride gave me a headache, so If i want to ride it by myself: No thanks. If my Boyfriend or any of my family member's want to ride Tempesto?
Ill just go along for the ride, But i'm not going to like it. ?

The Intamin presentation was very weird... it was just taking the concepts of three different manufacturers (RMC, Mack, and Premier) and putting their own spin on them. Cool? Yes, but certainly not something I'd expect to see from a company that's usually known as an industry trendsetter.
