From what have heard, much of this show has been on the back-burner for years. The previously planned "rockstravaganza" idea came later and the ill reception of London Rocks played a big part in that being scrapped. I love the show. It's exactly what I wanted and more for the Globe at Christmas. I especially liked the spirit of Christmas yet to come.

I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. What I saw was a charming, well-paced telling of the original Dickens story, with songs added in to move the story along.(I think some of the songs may have been original, too?)

All of the music is original and written for the park.

Scrooge No More was amazing. It was a Scott production through and through but as I've often theorized, when Scott is truly unleashed on a Christmas Town show, fantastic things can happen. If you combine Christmas Carol with Entwined version 3, you get Scrooge No More and I love it.

Most importantly the guy who plays Scrooge is too good. He shouldn't be at a theme park.

We saw the last showing last night (packed out) from the last 3 seats on the side. I was really impressed with the overall production elements. including the fact that our seats did not suck. The projections with the exception of the preshow all looked great from our seats. The curtain warmer was blurred like it was supposed to be 3D and you didn't have the glasses on...

The show itself was fine, the music not really being cohesive throughout sort of bothered me. What I mean is that it seemed that every, song was written by a different composer, if that makes sense.

Overall the best show I have ever seen at BG, though I have never seen what I would consider a full on production, unless you count the old Castle Sullivan show. My non musical loving husband like it as much as he can like a musical.

Pulled of BGW Website.

"Join Scrooge live on stage in an all-new musical at the Globe Theatre as he is swept away by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, who teach him the importance of family and friends being together at Christmas."

So judging by this and the information from here all the washed up Rock & Roll star and his journey of rebirth are gone?

Good call BGW/Scott/Entertainment or whoever put the brakes on that almost certain trainwreck. I wonder if there is any information on the show in it's original form.

Don't know when the Family and I will make it down for ChristmasTown this year but will make time to catch this.

Were the shows at capacity this weekend?

The entire idea was scrapped only a month ago after it was decided it was too bad to show guests. See Zachary's post here.

Yes. Scrooge No More reached capacity a full thirty minutes before each of its showings, and the remaining theaters were filled to capacity by showtime as well.

I was hoping there were no remnants of the 1st version left. Thanks for confirming.

Could this possibly be a preview of what could possibly be done to London Rocks!?

No. This is Christmas Town, London Rocks is main season. Both have totally different percentage rates of successfully produced Scottstravaganzas.

I was disappointed with the show. I was expecting it to be much better. I found the turnbuckles and hooks very distracting on the set pieces lowered from the ceiling. There were lighting and sound issues in our showing. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come looked too flimsy and frail. He could have been more impressive, especially considering how awesome the headless silhouettes are at HOS. As stated in a previous post, I also found the music lacked a cohesiveness. I did like that they had incorporated actual dialog from the novel. The performers were all very talented and Scrooge is way overqualified for the role. In our performance the applause seemed to be subdued, especially when compared to Gloria. I will still go and see it again, hoping they resolve the technical issues.

^The Ghost of Christmas Past was a girl. And looked like a candle flame that turned into a fairy. Are you talking about the Ghost of Christmas that has Yet to Come?

I watched 'Muppets Christmas Carol' today with the Gal to warm up for our visit this weekend :)  I'm officially looking forward to seeing the show after reading the comments here.

Edit....Great pictures Luke!
