Mystic River Falls is also costing SDC $23 million. I'd rather see that money spent on a new coaster.

On a 99 degree day, getting you soaked pretty much is all it takes for something to be an amazing ride.
The waterfalls being screwed around with ruined it.I thought it was neat until they totally butchered the waterfalls at the end.
Yeah, the ride used to be known as the super short, minimally themed rapids ride, but with a TOTALLY RAD SPLASH-TASTIC FINALE THAT'S GUARANTEED TO GET YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ABSOLUTELY DRENCHED! Now, it's just some PVC pipe attached to the decaying roman theming as the boat slowly passes underneath these makeshift waterfalls and only a few people even get remotely wet. It's frustrating, as the first half of the ride, while nothing to write home about, as I'm writing this from home, has some nice theming. Nothing crazy, but the blue boats whizzing past the path and the nearby restaurant along with the water cannons adds some much needed kinetic energy to a dead end in the park. The theming is nice to look at, and the landscaping when properly maintained is also really under appreciated. While I would love to see them do some sort of Infinity Falls-esque revamp, just throwing up some more theming or even columns in the back half of the ride and lift would do wonders. It's a neat area in the ravine next to Apollo, but some additional theming would just do wonders to help make the ride slightly more interesting. I would even settle for some in-house HOS level theming just as a temporary band aid, before the ride is inevitably removed or revamped over the next decade.I thought it was neat until they totally butchered the waterfalls at the end.
Honestly, that’s also probably why I preferred EfP...getting wet was always my least favorite part (which I know is weird for someone who’s riding a water ride).IMO I always thought of it as a great way to cool off vs EfP since it used to be guaranteed you'd get soaked on RR whereas some seats and half-full boats on EfP seemed relatively dry.
That’s true... but Pompeii is much more dramatic and I love that?Le Scoot should have been your go-to then - has the drop and only a mild chance of getting wet.
