Glad to see WWC is back on the app. Not a parent, but I never saw Road Rally with a line or many kids on. Losing rides always suck, but Road Rally and peanuts turnpike are very similar and located next to each other. Just different manufacture and ride vehicle. I've heard that Joe Cool was a pain to operate but was always a fun ride to watch from the Eiffel Tower.

Back when Joe Cool was Rugrats they had to stop the ride and carry me off because I started hysterically crying at the thought of operating a vehicle. That being said it was a cool ride.

We are almost certainly getting a family coaster within the next 3 years. Don’t know if it will be from ART a la Carowinds/Wonderland or if it will be a Vekoma family boomerang, but Joe Cool’s plot is prime for one, as there’s empty land between it and Woodstock that can be utilized too. That will be our next coaster.

I'm sorry, but the only thing that plays in my head when I picture this mentally is a little kid's mind just screaming, "OH SHIT, I HAVE TO DRIVE THIS THING???!!!!!"

Removal of Road Rally doesn’t surprise me unfortunately. It’s been around since ‘78 which to me is monumental for a small kid’s ride that takes up significant space. Ironically enough this was the first ride I’ve ever had experience operating so it is kinda bittersweet. Wonder how the Planet Neptune team feels about this one.

Edit: a while ago I did a Maps comparison and it does look like a Vekoma family boomerang a la Accelerator at Drayton Manor could fit in the Road Rally/Turnpike plot.

Road Rally, at least from what I observed, had a lot of downtime. It wasn’t uncommon for Joe Cool’s to be down too. Not a big loss, and this definitely opens the door to a family coaster within the next few years, probably as soon as 2027.

Both were usually down for staffing reasons. I know people usually preferred operating turnpike because there's shade. That is why Road Rally was the one usually closed when staffing was low.

Road Rally was installed in 1990 for what it's worth.

I wonder if they are going to fold Dominator into Planet Snoopy and eliminate one of the Planets.

I just hope they keep the little pond that Peanuts Road Rally runs over. I always thought that was a nice little water feature that was overlooked by most guests because it was obscured by the ride.

Red Baron's pond drains into it, so they'll have to do something about that first before they remove it.

The removal of Road Rally will actually improve the area if they remove the track and leave the pond.

The location of Drving School would be a good location for a dark ride building since it backs up to the back of the I Street buildings.
