Hopefully it they add another family coaster to planet snoopy it’s more “soap box racers” and less “racing railway.”
Indeed. Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds each only had one launch coaster by the time their racing railway coasters were added. Especially with Rapterra swooping in this year (pun entirely intended), KD will now have three launch coasters - all of which are in the same section no less.

Now technically they could add a 4th launcher later on, just I'd be surprised if that would be the next coaster.

I was going to say we may see a SFC or a family boomerang, but then thinking about it, with BBW2 opening this year, they're probably not going to build a SFC. It's possible they go with a sit down family B&M, or maybe a different Vekoma family coaster; however, the more I think about it, the more a family boomerang makes sense.

Yeah, Road Rally is getting demoed. @Jahrules figured that out the other day and I was supposed to tell y'all. Whoops.

I had heard rumors about Joe Cool's demise and, unfortunately, can't say I'm surprised it's getting the boot.

Maybe someone with kids can tell us if these Planet Snoopy cuts are painful at all?
Yes, definitely painful. Last season was the first time my family had been to KD (I had a pass in the early 2000’s, but since getting married/having kids, we’d been strictly a BGW family. We decided to give KD a try last Spring, and I was floored by how much nicer the park was than my memories of the late 90’s/early 2000’s. While walking through Planet Snoopy, my wife and I couldn’t believe how much more there seems to be for the littles than at BGW, and it’s all in pretty good shape. My youngest son and my nephew got to ride both of these early in the season and really liked them. By Fall they were too tall (and finally—thank God!—into rollercoasters), so our family isn’t affected, but others will be. Also, just the impact on the landscape is upsetting. The 4x4s have a water feature that integrates with the waterfall nearby; if that’s part of the demolition, it’ll be a shame.

I think it would be cool if they simply removed the ride hardware from Peanuts Road Rally and left the "boardwalk" over the water intact. Most parks have far too few spaces to just meander and wander, and it would be neat to be able to walk over the water just for the heck of it. I'm assuming the railings are already up to code in case of evacuations and for maintenance walks. They could even add a little seating area if they wanted to. (I'm thinking of all the little walkways and alleyways along the water at IOA, one of my favorite features of that park that are easily overlooked.)

Of course, I'm almost certain they'll just take a bulldozer to the whole thing (though hopefully not the water feature). One more thing to have to maintain and sweep up trash from, unfortunately.

My older boys grew up in KD riding these and my youngest daughter now absolutely loves the jeeps. I’m sad by this. KD’s young kids offerings blow BGW out of the water and I have been one of the most vocal to friends about giving KD another chance. I hope this is just a business decision related to the rides themselves and the investment in Planet Snoopy continues (even if I can’t wait until my daughter outgrows it 🤣)

So. With the death of Berserker, and now the discovered removal of Joe Cool (rest in peace, old friend), I realized that opens up a decent little plot of land:

Upon looking at it a little further, I had a slight Eureka moment, then did some rough Google Maps measurement comparisons of a certain kiddie coaster model that Cedar Fair has been fond of recently; that being Snoopy's Racing Railway.

Turns out that it's a surprisingly great fit for this plot of land:

The way I drew this up, this would sacrifice the small path to the right of Berserker. Though with the terrain and the track height at that point, there may be a way to save that path. I should also note that it only partially extends into Berserker's old space, so there may be just enough room for a small-ish flat ride there. Either way, I was pretty impressed with how it fits in the area and think it's a perfectly logical next addition for the park!

I'm sad to hear Road Rally is leaving. I rode those jeeps a ton as a little kid in the late 90s. There's a cow decoration along the track that has been at the park my entire life, I hope it isn't mindlessly scrapped.
I think the cow was removed when the ride was given a Peanuts overlay back in 2013 — I wonder if it’s backstage or in the boneyard somewhere.

Both of these rides (in addition to Yogi's Cave) were my favorites growing up. Really fun, memorable experiences. While a nice family launch coaster would be amazing, these rides going away are a significant loss. Now that FOUR rides have gone the way of the dodo bird (maybe 5 with Skyflyer), let's hope the removals are done for a while...

I really hope the props from Joe Cool get scattered throughout Planet Snoopy and not carelessly thrown into the boneyard/storage/dumpster. That ride had tons of full-size Peanuts props that would really enhance the rest of the area.

(My biggest fear is that they literally have no staff left who has the bandwidth -- or cares enough -- to do that.)
