I don't think the concert has too much of an effect on the park, most the people will come get their free tickets, leave and come back later in the day, you might see slightly increased line during the morning for those who do stay, but lines should drop noticeably starting around 5pm but definitely by 6:30pm.

Well I won't be getting there till probably 1 or 2 PM so it looks like I'll be fine! Excited to go to the park for the first time in two months!

The picture belongs to photographer Bill Rogerson.

The Neptune statue current whereabouts are unknown- but the fountain's pipes look to still be under water however, a pelican wooden statue is currently perched on top (fountain is not operating).

The location was closer to the Rhine River Boat Cruise than Nessie's loops and was located on the same side as the sign that says "Grimm's Landing".

The, sadly, missing Neptune statue. Does SG hate statues, also? Seem to be disappearing around the park?

I remmeber that Neptune statue.
Although, ever since I was little I called him "King Triton" so my whole family only knows him that way.
Wish they could put him back up again.

This photo was taken by Bill Rogerson. It will show you the cool statue.

I asked the veteran team member at the Rhine River cruise, he said that 'The statue is gone."

When I asked him to clarify- he said "gone-gone-gone... no longer at the park."

So sad.

So...question...

Passmembers bring a friend to HoS for free, correct?

What if you are just picking up your annual pass the day of? Like, I show up Oct 4 (let's just say) and buy a pass...would I then be able to bring someone in with me right then and there?

Thhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkssssssssss

One point of clarification, you can only bring a guest for free this weekend.

But if you bought a pass today, you would have to go on-line to get the free pass.

Annual Pass Members can BRING A FRIEND FOR FREE to Busch Gardens® Williamsburg for a single-day visit.
Must redeem and visit between Sept. 13th and Sept. 15, 2013.
This is an online offer only.
Free single-day ticket can only be used on Sept. 13, 14 or 15.
Limit of one free single-day ticket per active Annual Pass Member.

Great. I will say that people are confused by this.

The whole reason I asked was because, while waiting in line for free State Fair tickets yesterday, some families behind me were talking about Howl-O-Scream and whether or not they'd be going, and the "fact" was brought up several times that pass holders got to bring in a free guest.

They didn't seem to be under the impression that this was a one-weekend-only type of deal.

These people probably aren't alone.

There was some interesting discussion about HoS and children and the fairness of HoS being not kid friendly when HoS is part of the annual pass deal, too.

1. The website is very clear. People need to learn to research and read.
2. It isn't all for the *#!% children.
3. I think it is good news that people are talking about HOS and thinking of attending.
