I don't think that confusion is the Park's fault. Here's what they said on Facebook.

Attention Pass Members: Need someone to brave the haunts with this weekend? For a limited time, active Pass Members can bring a friend to Howl-O-Scream with them for FREE on Sept. 13, 14 or 15. In order to obtain your voucher, log in to www.bgwpass.com using your pass barcode and zip code. Once you are logged in, select "Pass Member Ticket Discounts."

Sounds like people stopped reading when they saw the word "FREE."

For what its worth, these seemed like very "upscale" type of people. Nice sunglasses, nice clothes....enunciation. Money. Not sure why they'd be so confused.

But they definitely weren't happy about the unkiddiness of HoS. Not enough to not go, though, so I guess that's the thing.

We are a family of 5 with 5 platinum passes. We printed out 5 free tickets for friends. Do all or any of my family have to be at the park to get my friends through the gate?

In practice? No. As long as they have the bar-coded turnstile ticket, they should get in.

Has the park reached capacity for HOS this year?

Are there any good local shops for buying Halloween costumes? I am bringing the family down in a few weeks and haven't bought tirck or treat wear for the kids yet.

I heard that they were expecting to reach capacity yesterday, but I don't if it did.

Capacity its a really tricky issue. The actual park itself does have a set number they are only supposed to allow in the park; however, they tend to try and judge it by how full the parking lots are. The thinking is that is the parking lots are full, the park is full. So even if 1 person came in one car per parking space, they would say they hit capacity even though that means there are about 7K people in that particular situation. I will say the most people in the park at one time has been 38K people. So the actual capacity number they are supposed to look at is a loose guideline.

When you see all the lots completely full, then yes they hit capacity by their terms. I would say they have hit capacity at least once already.

That doesn't answer his question. He asked if it had hit capacity which translates to, "Have they turned guests away at the parking plaza as they have in years past?" I don't know, I haven't been this year.

Park's been pretty packed to the gills for the past few Saturdays. Friday and Sunday are reasonable, but as it gets closer to Halloween, expect crowds to get heavier and heavier.

The last Saturday I was at the park, it definitely felt like the park hit critical mass.

Question of the day... Generally speaking, how busy would one expect the park to be on the last day of Howl-O-Scream, Sunday October 27th?

Sound Sharp! is when a school asks the park if they can perform in the park, essentially replacing a show. This is very popular during Christmas Town a school group will sing on the Festhaus deck in front of the stained glass window. This would be a perfect example of this.

From my understanding it was originally a station where guests can record themselves in studio and get record copies of them, kind of like karaoke I think? It has been used for outside radio stations visiting the park when they want to broadcast. It now sits as a storage facility.

I am sure there are others who have much more information, anyone else? Did I get it right or somewhat right?

It was also first utilized in the late 1980's. Previously I am not sure what it was because it does not appear on any more maps prior to that time period.
