Just because a person isn’t physically able to walk up a set of stairs should prevent them from ever picking a row that they waited for? What a wild take
I don't know if it's handicap people or not. Thats just my guess. The people I kept seeing doing were deffiently no wheelchair bound or anything. Even then why do disabled people need to get special seat privledges over the people who paid a shit ton for QQ? Put them in the same designated rows as QQ especially since it costed them nothing to be able to bypass lines to begin with. It's not a knock on handicap people. Obviously theres mental handicap where they can't stand in lines ect and yes they should be able to skip the line. I just don't understand why they also get to freely sit where they please when people paid who paid $80 a QQ do not. No wonder people keep trying to abuse the handicap stystem

Can't say so for BGW but at KD they are not just bypassing the line. They still have to wait with RAP's like anyone else in line. If the wait is 45 mins, they can not ride another ride for 45 mins. Just because they don't look "wheelchair bound or anything" to you does not disqualify them from RAP's. There are a great magnitude of reasons someone might require a RAP and that is none of our business.

Yes I know that. Not all disabilities are visable. Very extrenely aware if that. But thats not the question. Seems lately Busch has been strict on that lately though unless your're physically hurt because people abusing it

Well first off the hard part of the handicap system is HIPPA laws. I know some places had qualifiers that your disability had to prevent you from being able to stand, be in the sun, or a few other qualifiers for ability to have access.

The bigger issue to me is that there's no regulations. Some parks don't do a +1 with it and I've seen at BGW a group of 6 get on coasters with no wait. I had a friend once suggest the solution should be that you get a tag. Different colors for different times. You go to the ride entrance, get a 10 minute tag. Then you wait at the exit until your tag color is called. You turn it in and go on. You can only keep 1 tag at a time and you need to stay within earshot of the exit.

Well the group thing is kinda a damned if you do damned if you don't kinda thing. If the handicap person is there with their family abd want to ride the ride then should they ride together and move on or should just the handicap person go? In my opinion they should just ride together because who knows if they need assistance or not. My problem still stand on why they get to choose their seats vs paying QQ people who don't. I don't see a single logical reason besides "their handicap and we wanna make them feel special" which I don't buy for a second.

It's not a damned if you do, damned if you don't. Make the rule that the person+1 can go up the ramp skipping the line. That's up to the group to either say just go ahead and we'll catch up, or try to time up to be there at the same time. I've been at Hersheypark with that rule in place and we did fine. If everyone wants to be able to go together, make the rest of the group buy QQ's.

Because with QQ's you are paying for the tradeoff of getting on the ride faster for preferred seating. With handicapped you don't have the ability often times of going through the standard queue. Why should someone who can't go through the line lose the right to chose where they want to sit.

Frankly I've only had an issue with handicap seating 1 time going to a park. At Dorney, the handicap person came up with 3, and said they wanted front row. Me and 2 friends were already through the gate and getting ready to lock in and we were told to get off and wait. This is when the conversation of the tags happened. We had to wait 2 more cycles to finally get our front row ride because the ride attendant let two groups of 4 go until there was a group of 2 for the front row.

Ok you got me on that one. I understand now. Makes sense.

With that logic, why do the peasants waiting in line get to pick their seats instead of the paying QQ customers?
Huh? Because we waiting time out of our day for our spot. But I also think QQ people should be able to choose where they go to

Which is exactly why a disabled guest is able to pick their seat. The RAP is their equivalent to waiting in line. You can argue all day about how well implemented it is at any given park, but they are doing the equivalent given to them by the park of waiting in line, and should get to choose any seat they want.

I know for a fact all of the coasters other than Tempesto, Darkoaster, and Verbolten force certain rows. Those 3 I'm not sure if certain rows are required though.

In my experience at least 50% of the time if not more ride ops will allow QQ riders to pick a row if they ask even on coasters that have designated rows. Some time they will tell them to wait a circle or two some times not but they will choose a seat if they ask.

I can’t stand that ride operators leave seats blank because the QQ riders aren’t there for a run. For the most part, I’d gladly fill in seats instead of having it left empty.

More often then not they will let people fill them if no one is waiting some will even make announcement but even when they don't I have never seen an op stop someone from taking an empty seat.

They wait just not in line and you can't always see what issues that people are dealing with so don't judge.

Never once judged and I said very clearly I knoe not all disabilities are visable.

Yet you keep putting disabled people at a lower tier than other people. You have a problem with them picking their own seat just like normal people.

If the wait time is 45+ they come back in 45+ through the exit and then they get to pick a line. An operator should communicate to those in the other line. There is nothing wrong with this…

People with health problems deal with enough. Let’s not go in the direction of guilting those for just enjoying the park as they can. Not cool.

Due to surgeries I use the RAP system If you would like to trade places with me I woud be very happy to do so
I wait the same amount of time that you wait. So I dn't think its a problem me choosing my seat
Now as others have said the system is being abused. The Va Beah Amphihteater is the worst { groups of 10 its crazy}
Feel free to exchange lives with me for just 1 day I would love to be "Normal" agin for 1 day

I really wanna know why yall think im bashing handicap people. I made a statement and I see the other side now and ive retracted my statement. Nothing more needs to be said me or about anything else I said. But im sure some of yall are the type to read 1 thing and take it from there and completly ignore where I said I was wrong and everything else.

Hey everyone. I'm hoping to do the Roller Coaster Insider Tour next spring/summer. For anyone who has done it before, what do you do on the day of the tour? I have found some answers but could never get two answers that match.

Thank you!

Is Alpie open only on weekends for Christmas Town, because I was thinking about going in tomorrow to marathon especially with warmer/rainy weather.

When does a park ever have time to rebuild the trains on rides that are open year round running 2 trains throught halloween and christmas. Like Alpen or verbolten and parks south. If it takes months to rebuild them then how do they always manage to have 2 trains going?
