Pretty sure this avoids the entire Bakunawa footprint, if not the angle of the bend could change
So enter off the main gate? Or long winding path off boardwalk? I think the lift and everything over the Shoreline entrance could work but it would take some interesting work. With no satellite imagery out there with placement of the new rides, it's hard to tell if that would interfere with anything that's been put in already.

idk about long and winding, but assuming a boardwalk entrance, yeah they'd probably have to throw an attraction in between/by the go karts for contiguity. maybe the drop tower? shoreline pier is very nice but also pretty small, I'd be happy to see the footprint expand

@northdetective - how possible do you think it would be to create this with the ability to “bend” a coaster.

Because here’s what I’m thinking:

If they would be willing to put Superman on the chopping block, you could add a slight turn at Wild Ones drop, minimal parking lot impact, interacts with Bakunawa, “encloses” Shoreline Piers while still leaving space. You can have a drop tower at the start of Wild Ones lift or where the Superman Tent is. Space to add in more dining, flat, and maybe a show space.

If Superman is up for demolition, such a bend is not even needed:

I freehanded an approximate mirroring of the layout and a reconfiguration of the station area to have Wild One act as a backdrop for all of Shoreline Pier and then follow Bakunawa. Queue would enter from the right of BoF and exit to the left of it.

Included the original version in the parking lot for reference.

Obviously I'd need to measure this out precisely or work it up in NoLimits to get the dimensions exact, but it's totally doable as long as we're good with some additional Giant Coaster/Wild One reconfiguration (which, again, I am VERY onboard with—sorta a tradition with this coaster).

There's probably some world in which you could shift this mirrored layout down and to the right to snake the right half over/under Bakunawa and have it use more of the Ka plot and less of the parking lot too—may be worth playing with? 🤷‍♂️

Does the equine run next to the lift go high enough to work over the initial launch for Bakunawa? Could be a good opportunity to also make a cover over the launch and do something unique there.

My big opinion here is to do something where you don’t interfere with the ‘interior’ of the park too much to take away future flexibility, but also don’t go too much into the parking lot and do more of that. The slingshot and go karts plot gives them so much ability to improve and expand what’s needed. A little concept I’ve mentally kicked around is using some of that plot for expanding the entrance plaza to the park but also making a ‘subsection’ to Shoreline Piers called “Shoreline Dunes” that would have mostly flats and a little different vibe from the boardwalk vibe.

Yep. This is the one. With all due respect to the other attempts, removing Superman or chopping some nice sight lines in half by going through major pathways aren’t worth keeping the original, non-mirrored layout

Beyond me atm, I wouldn't even know how to do this in ArcGIS. I think it would involve splitting the path into two, rotating the one part, and rejoining them

All this boardwalk talk has me thinking the Great Nor'easter would be a perfect Superman retheme. Can Morey's just rename theirs

Yep this is it.

Mike and Ryan, I know you're watching. Get to it.
