I suspect like they've done with every other aspect of this, they're going to hold off and release theming and station and more details over the coming months to keep attention up heading into the spring debut. Just easy PR and a way to keep the ride in the news.
That would be clever but they should have teased this today in the announcement if they haven’t.

From ElToroRyan's video:
  • Both trains will be the same colour
  • Double-sided lockers will be included
  • Not advertising an official riders/hour at this time
  • The station will have a 'two-layered sliding floor system. One layer which houses both tracks, the other layer which has the platform in the center. [...] the track slides and the platform adjacent slides next to it'
  • Floorless was something they wanted from the start, not just a weight drop measure.
  • Unlike other MACK rides, this is not a fully controlled spin with a motor except to park the train in the load station

The two layered sliding floor system seems like a way to work around the connected sliding track? Maybe you will be able to board one side multiple times in the shifted position? In case one side goes down

Ok, a couple of things:

Both trains will be the same color ?
Then why advertise the green train in the promo video? That’s very misleading
Not releasing capacity numbers now means they probably arent very good.
And,
Have they ever fully explained the additional height this gained? Or was that 375 filing also a red-hearing and it was always 382

Alright, after some time to sit with it, here are my unsolicited thoughts:

Pros:
- Floorless trains
- Name
- Very high theming potential
- Sliding station with what seems to be a coherent operating and loading plan
- Genuinely insane roller coaster concept
- Looks awesome and unique for the skyline

Cons:
- Not sure about the lack of train theming, though it’s understandable from a weight and energy use perspective
- The logo still feels a bit off to me, not sure if I’m just too skeptical nowadays but there is a slight AI vibe to it
- Capacity will be bad no matter what they do

With those in mind, here are my biggest wants as we learn more about the ride:
- Fully enclosed station with an engaging dispatch sequence. You won’t have the stop and wait sequence you had with Ka, the park needs to find another way to build anticipation
- Dedicated soundtrack and/or ambient audio in the queue. This adds so so so much to a ride and makes long waits so much more bearable if done well. Look at De Vliegende Hollander at Efteling for a perfect example
- Quality lighting package at night
- EFFICIENT LOOSE ARTICLE STORAGE, with a more guided process than just an open space with lockers
- A dedicated plaza independent of the rest of Shoreline Pier, preferably with a short path that takes you away from the other rides and can build anticipation

The coasterspot just did great interview:
Ryan mentioned:
-Spinning can be dampened and controlled depending on what park wants.
- Testing in September.
-on board audio and lighting planned.
-que area and theming still being planned.
-phantom spire was the planned name originally.

This is such a moot point, but I wish there was a airtime hill after the stall and before the vertical assent. It would match the curvature of the creature in the logo and add much more to the ride experience. Oh well, I am still excited for this addition. I am hopeful the current ride layout will be thrilling and that the theming package, especially on-board audio will be closer to Cedar Fair standards.

Also, I am not sure how the park gets a 2min. 17 Second ride time. The POV video is only 1 min. 3 seconds.

Might as well pick up the rotting corpse of El Diablo from Clementon Park, I’m sure Gene would trade it for something resembling half decent publicity!

I appreciate the honesty regarding Phantom Spire.

I wonder if that’s why the trains in the rendering were teal, gives off more of a phantom vibe. Also, the only other difference in the rendering is the lack of shoreline pier and the lsm length on the 3rd launch, which could indicate this is animation is a year old. I wonder if part of the delay was redesigning that 3rd launch, whether it’s for consistency of the speed, power saving, or some other reason?
