I assure you that adding a first-of-its-kind, multi-world-record-breaking, 400+ foot tall, launched spinning coaster with an insane inverted stall launch is not a move one makes when trying to "kill" a park.
You know what I'm tired of? Listening to constant crying from people who are about to get one of the craziest coasters ever built. A park in this very chain like three hours away from SFGAdv was actually just murdered. Many of the people here now know what it's like to see a park destroyed—we can tell you about it if you'd like. Meanwhile, another park in the chain on the opposite coast is almost certainly about to be bulldozed and the chain is telling shareholders more parks will be getting the boot soon. So yeah, cry me a fucking river about your delayed strata spinner.
Six Flags royally fucked SFGAdv, don't get me wrong. Pre-merger, the park was horribly neglected—it was allowed to fall well behind competitors like Hersheypark despite its significant headstart. Post-merger, the park and its customers have been horribly abused too. Gutting tons of rides while actively lying to guests is demented behavior and you all should be absolutely livid about it for years to come. It's a level of active maliciousness that still shocks me.
That being said, in the grand scheme of things, while yes, SFGAdv may have been getting screwed for years and, in some ways, continues to be by the fallout of countless horrible decisions prior to this point, I can assure you that this Mack Extreme Spinner is very much not part of that screwing. And, yes, I know its no consolation for locals who just feel wronged by their home park, but, for context, a lot of other parks in the chain and their fans are going through much, much worse right now. So yeah, you will not find sympathy with the "woe is me, they're not giving me the exact specification of strata that I, personally, want!" refrain.
