I think that there’s a chance that they might be doing a soft opening with only the 3 completed rides this weekend. I was there today and everything in that section of the pier looked completed.

Won't be long now. The photoshoot for Shoreline Pier is on June 15.

Finally. I may have to head out there this evening to check it out.
I like that area in front of the fence looking more like a Jersey Shore dune.
I'm in love with both the layout and the aesthetic.
If the rest of this park can get upgraded the way this place was put in, Great Adventure is in a really good spot going forward.
I really hope the front end of the boardwalk gets fully updated to match alongside Project Purple next year.

The details in Shoreline Pier are incredible. The signs and landscaping are amazing. What an atmosphere just through the pics, and I’m sure it’s even better in person.
My only complaint: the area with the plants meant to be dunes, should in fact be dunes. otherwise, this looks great and i hope the park keeps up the momentum in other areas.
The counterpoint I would have is erosion would make it extremely difficult to manage unless they made it out of fake sand. If they created actual dunes it would take years for the plantings roots to be strong enough to hold the formation. So with wind, rain, snow; it would be highly likely that the sand would wash out. So they would spend a tin of long term money continually pushing the sand back into place.
