Found some clues on the posters at the restrooms in Jungle X-pedition.

There is a map and 6 posters.
3 of them are the currently “found” temples.
The other 3 are for apparently unexplored locations.
Let’s speculate!

(My guess is I305 for Kings peak, FOF for the Dooz caverns and Anaconda for the diamond falls?)

The other three are just references to past attractions. I wouldn't expect them to mean anything for the future.

Kings Peak refers to the Lost World mountain:

Dooz Caverns refers to the Land of Dooz, a dark ride housed in the mountain. It was replaced by Smurf Mountain before the entire mountain was gutted and eventually became home to Volcano.

And Diamond Falls was a shoot-the-chutes water ride where Backlot Stunt Coaster now stands:

In other words this is @Zachary way of saying he knows what it is but he is not going to tell us. Hmm now that BFE is gone what horrible ride can we threaten making him marathon to try and force it from him?

Man, I hope these aren't in the restrooms. I don't want people snapping photos or ... shudder... videos in there. lol.

This is amazing to me that King's Dominion is putting incredible effort into potentially themed/rethemed attractions with a Florida worthy story, while BGW is throwing in record breaking generic attractions with absolutely ZERO interest in theme or aesthetics. I am legitimately jealous.

I really can’t imagine FOF and I305 not getting rethemed whenever Jungle X Phase II happens. It’s clear the park considers those attractions to fall within Jungle X’s boundaries, and considering the amount of attention paid to the area’s thematic consistency, I’m sure the park will want to tie FOF and I305 into the jungle theme when Phase II presumably spreads to that corner of the park.

I really like the idea someone suggested of transforming FOF into Dr. Estrada’s laboratory. It would let KD reuse a lot of the existing science fiction thematic infrastructure and would also be a nice way to add some variety to Jungle X’s coaster themes — something different from another animal temple.

I agree with you but just to play devil's advocate -- those rides were always considered part of Safari Village for internal referencing even without there being a cohesive theme.

In case you didn't see my post in the concept thread it would be pretty sweet if they took down I305 and replaced it with two B&M gigas called giraffe racers. it would fit perfectly in jungle x. maybe were gonna get like a strata or somethinfg in 2023?

i mean dragster has been sitting closed for a few months now and we do need a launch coaster to compete with pantheon and drachen spire. it would be a no brainer for kd to want to win the title back from busch

I never considered FoF or I305 to be part of Safari Village -- obviously they didn't match it. You merely walked through SV to get there, why is that concept hard to get? Besides, both are a bit strange, so neither should be accessible directly off the main drag, and having to go through Area 51 to reach the Dale Earnhardt tribute is genius.

Not that I'd necessarily be against retheming. Intimidator IS the perfect name for '305 EXCEPT the Earnhardt connection, that stuff is more appropriate to the Carolinas and that other coaster that deserves no connection to this one.

I’d agree with that if KD itself didn’t consider those rides part of the area. Going all the way back to when the area was called Congo, maps and in-park signage always referred to FOF and I305 as part of the area. Today’s maps, signage etc. still officially denote those rides as being part of Jungle X-Pedition. In theory, I’d be okay with the park officially partitioning those two rides into their own mini-area, but that’s not how the park considers them now.

That said, with the effort and detail put into the immersion of Jungle X, I do think it would be a major missed opportunity to not eventually bring FOF and I305 into the area thematically. FOF’s facade looms large over that back half of the area (by Chicken Shack) and it’s awkwardly right next to the Mt. Kilimanjaro waterfall, which was just restored and is almost definitely part of the long-term vision for Jungle X now. Leaving those two rides themed separately, even if in their own mini-area, feels like the park would be tapping out at the finish line of the Jungle X redo. FOF has the potential to be rethemed relatively easily into the Whey Foundation’s research laboratory, and the leftover landscape of Lion Country Safari that I305 was built into would lend itself nicely to a jungle retheme. I think allowing Jungle X to eventually envelop the entire area would be the most effective for making the area as immersive as it can be.

Here’s an interesting find in Outpost Cafe….
Personally, I find it interesting that they are dropping all these cool details that the average guest won’t read much into. But when you’ve got people like us, we read more into it realizing that these could be subtle hints to the volcano replacement.
