*** IF *** KD continues the Jungle X-pedition X-pansion in 2023, I could see money spent to re-theme Stunt Coaster and giving Anaconda a jungle refresh as well. Maybe FOF gets a makeover. Just not sure if FOF, and I-305 for that matter, is re-themed for 2023. There is a slim chance that a small-medium attraction could be added as well if the park did just Stunt Coaster and Anaconda for 2023.

I don't think its a crazy idea for them to start transforming the back half of Jungle X. Maybe not all the way back to FOF & 305 just yet, but just finish off the direct Backlot/Anaconda/Chicken Shack area. At best, maybe theming & paint overhauls for Anaconda and Backlot.
If only there was a Bayern Kurve at a park closing somewhere, and if only they had a small mountain that was literally made to hold it...
This is a reference to California's Great America that is closing "soon", which could close anytime in the next 2-11 years. Hopefully their Bayern Kurve will see new life somewhere else when that day comes.
A return of the Bayern Kurve would be very cool. That area could definitely use a flat ride or two. After doing the one at Liseberg, I think a Gerstlauer Sky Roller would be a great modern flat ride that they could theme up into some wacky Jungle X contraption (and yet another spinny tower ride for the park).

Fof I could maybe see being re themed, however, intimidator technically is in its own little area, it has its own unique entrance portal, therefore its a section dedicated to that ride
I just can’t see intimidator being rethemed, I-305 and it’s theme go perfectly together, the speed of a racecar, and the intimidating nature of the ride. I just don’t see it happening.

If only they could keep the Intimidator name and remove the DEI branding and theme to be more in line with the area. I could see the name being perfect for the area with some Jungle X-pedition theming.
I don’t honestly think they’d do that, like even if you did theme it to the jungle I have only one possible thought for the name, cheetah

Cheetah hunt exists, and also its way faster than a cheetah.

Doubt that they would ve legally able to do that given the IP rights and now closely it's been connected to them.
Third little problem cheetahs don't live in the Jungle.
Would not be possible because the ride received its name thanks to the partnership with Teresa Earnhardt / RCR. If KD would want to keep it they would have to buy the entire rights to Dale Earnhardt from Teresa and RCR like what they did with Volcano and Dale Sr is still one of the biggest merch identities in North American racing. It's just a bad deal for everyone involved.
Kings Dominion bought the rights to the Volcano movie from Paramount when Cedar Fair acquired the Paramount Parks. It was the only IP Cedar Fair kept in the entire chain from the Paramount Parks.
Except that Volcano was a 20th Century Fox movie.
If Intimidator 305 remains unchanged theming wise I wouldn't really have any issue with it. I just hope they give it a nice paint job sometime soon. I would say the most significant coaster that needs to be rethemed is Backlot because you can kinda paint FOF and I305 as off in their own section and it not really impact Jungle X. Just Jungle Xify Anaconda (paint job, maybe new trains in a magic fantasy world?), BLSC and drop a Nebulaz/Disko and Air Race near them and Jungle X Phase II done.
What source are you getting this from? Not saying I don’t believe you, but I find that really strange since, as @mtpelepele pointed out, Volcano was made by 20th Century Fox, not Paramount. Searching through Wikipedia and IMDB, I can’t find any reference to Paramount being part of the movie or owning/buying any rights to it.
Plus, the film takes place in Los Angeles and is about a mysterious volcano that suddenly forms within the city — completely unrelated to the theme of KD’s Volcano, which was themed to an expedition of a huge volcanic mountain in some tribal region of Africa. So, it’s not like KD’s Volcano borrowed any elements from the film’s story or setting at all. It seems to me that the film and the ride were totally unrelated and just happened to share the same name. Why would KD need to purchase the rights to use the generic word “volcano”?
Maybe it was just the general rights to the name from Paramount. But I could've sworn Volcano was tied to a movie in some way and Cedar Fair also bought the rights to that. Pretty much everything else got renamed / rethemed in some way and Volcano was the only one from Paramount to not get touched.
I was always under the impression that Volcano was one of Paramount’s few themed attractions not tied to a specific movie. (I’ve heard rumors that they originally wanted to build a ride themed to their Congo movie but scrapped those plans when the film flopped, instead settling on an original IP that would become the Volcano coaster, but I’ve never seen evidence of this). Hurler and Flight of Fear, on the other hand, definitively were themed to movies/TV shows but also kept their names when CF bought the park. Unless KD also bought the rights to those names, I’d assume the names were generic enough that they didn’t specifically require any naming rights to be purchased — and by extension, you’d think Volcano would at least be in that same boat, right?
That doesn't quite sound right. Pretty sure that the ride was actually just themed to a Volcano not the movie.
It's a little more complex then that. In the case of Hurler and Flight of Fear the names were not directly linked to the IP. They were able to remove the IP part and work out an agreement to keep the names. Dale Earnhardt IS the Intimidator and Tressa owns the IP rights and is extremely protective of those rights. I am 1,000% positive given her track record if CF tried to keep the name and change the theme that there WILL be a lawsuit.

Yes, she sued her step son Kerry Earnhardt for creating a business called the "Earnhardt Collection" for homes and furniture he built. There is zero chance they can keep the name without paying her.
