On the Dooz Caverns poster it does say "paddle along the haunted river." Since FoF is indoors and it has a "haunted" theme, could that have anything to do with a retime? It does stray away from the whole "temple" thing though.....

And what does the "Lost World National Park" have to do with anything? They seem focused on the "King's Peak", as it's on two of the posters, so could that have to do with anything? "King's Peak" and "Kings Dominion" are closely related....
Edit: King's Peak is on 3 Posters

I'm not sure if you're familiar with KD history, but there's an excellent blog that explains what most of those references come from: https://www.dalebrumfield.net/blog

BOY this gets me excited! Love that they're already hinting at future "temples" for JX. Interesting that there's 3 temples left and 4 coasters to X-ify (those being I305, FoF, Backlot, and Anaconda). Seems pretty safe to assume the Anaconda temple will be Anaconda, so that leaves the other two.

I would imagine Backlot would be themed to the Feline and i305 themed to the Bird. Leaves a giant question mark about what FoF would be rethemed to, but I do notice how they have ?, ??, and ??? for each additional animal probably hinting at what order their "discoveries" would happen in.

I have to admit, KD did one hell of a job with Jungle X; however, the lines for Tumbili are going to get very, very long this year with the way the operation manual is written on this thing. The current short line is a damn struggle to wait through.

The map says to us 6 total temples.

I see two possible scenarios:

Number 4 must be Anaconda, number 5 should be i305 as Kilimanjaro/Hawks expeditions and number 6 should be Flight of Fear, since tigers are nocturnal animals. Maybe Backlot entrance moves to Candy Apple Grove, and that's why the lake is the final element for JXP in the maps' right.

The other one: number 4 as Anaconda, number 5 being Backlot as the Tigers temple and number 6 Flight of Fear being Kilimanjaro and it would be the Hawk temple. Maybe they leave the theming of i305 alone (and being a separated area) because of its uniqueness (thus Far-Off Mountain Range and the format of the mountain resembles i305 lift).

The new rollercoaster (Volcano's replacement) must be something to do about the "mirage" of the Grassy Plains.

The second scenario is similar to what I was just thinking albeit Volcano's replacement would represent the Hawk temple (coincidence that I thought it should be named Firehawk in another thread). But I'm curious about that "mirage," maybe a water ride is coming?

Something to keep in mind: Jungle X-Pedition can feature rides that aren't temple-themed. We haven't seen one yet, but Backlot could lend itself very well to a chase or escape through the jungle and @CoasterTalkBob has suggested Flight of Fear could make sense as some sort of jungle research center. In fact, I think that not making every attraction in the land temple themed would make for a lot of valuable thematic variety to build out more of the character-based lore of the land.

I mean a jungle wouldn't be the worst place to hide a secret miltary base housing a UFO

Backlot Stunt Coaster being rethemed to anything other than a jungle safari type of ride is a huge missed opportunity.

I was thinking that too. I really wanted this area to be restored in any positive way, but restricting all the attractions to an "animal temple" theme is weird for a whole park area and certain attractions would need overly extensive work to fit under that. I imagined that an Area 75 makeover for I305 and FOF could represent an astronomical research center within Jungle-X, and that some extraterrestrial forces are the cause for the temples making adventurers possess the abilities of the animals they represent. Then again, I found the appearance of Volcano ruined by the sharp contrast of the FOF building in the background.

Ok, I'm gonna throw out my official guesses for what's to come.

RECAP - Phase 1 is Tumbili, Reptilian, Outer Hanks rebuild, Arachnidia. Is Hungry Hippo part of this? Anyways, this is clearly that plaza's turn to be redone.

PHASE II - I think this is going to be the next plaza. I think what I would do VS what will be done is different. So I'll do both:
WHAT I THINK WILL BE DONE - BLSC redesign, Chicken Shack will get redone, Anaconda gets it's update. Some flat gets built out in the grass/extended queue of BLSC.
WHAT I WOULD DO - BLSC gets its retime. Take out Chicken Shack, take out Anaconda. This can be used to "open up" the back half of Jungle X-Pedition. A flat goes in where Anaconda's current queue is at. Chick Shack does not get replaced at the moment, rather along that area a stage goes for a show about the history of the Jungle.

PHASE III - FoF gets re-themed. I-305 gets re-themed. I-305's plaza comes out. In the old spot of Anaconda's lift goes and RMC single rail, basically a WW Golden Lasso clone right along the lake. FOF's "hanger" queue areas get removed and re-routed to where the current exit area is. This now opens up a ton of land between FoF and I-305's brake run to put in some games, another dining area (I would do a quick grab) and a flat or two.

PHASE IV - Behind Reptilian and at VBC's old turnaround I would put in a compact family invert coaster. With the Raptor and Tumbili you have two more "thrill" coasters in place (along with FoF and I-305) and they would be best served with a family coaster. Family inverts are rather rare, and they can be compact. Something slightly bigger than Merlins Mayhem at Dutch Wonderland is something I would put back there. This gives more space where the Mountain used to be to put in more flats, more stands, and maybe some other food (snack) options.

When we were recording the podcast and @Zachary listed the remaining temples I immediately thought Tiger for i305.... It just fits too well. I could see Feline maybe fitting for i305 but, as others have said, that's kind of a wasted potential when you could make it just a jeep ride and not have it be a temple at all. As for FoF, (and as Zach already mentioned) I actually had thought about it being Dr. Estrada's lab even before hearing about the remaining temples.

Anyone interested, the podcast from this weekend that we had @Zachary on just released: https://coastertalkpodcast.com/podcast/episode-162-zach-is-back/ (We talk about this stuff in the second half of the show).

Haven't we heard that Cedar Fair wants to remove Anaconda in the past? Not sure if retheming it which it's already themed to a jungle snake, makes a ton of sense especially if they want to axe it altogether.
The rumor was that it was supposed to get the boot instead of Vortex but they changed their mind after Volcano. There was nothing that ever backed that up though and it could have been just people's reach to explain why they'd get rid of a well liked Arrow Looper vs one that was noted as one of the less liked ones. I think KD may be hesitant to remove anything for a while right now even if there was a plan to remove it at some point.

I'm willing to bet they'll only willingly remove a ride if something catastrophic happened to it like every ride that's gotten removed since 2017.
