Cuts? Again?

They giveth and taketh so hard. This whiplash is driving me insane. Starting to think all they have learned is theming = nothing
  • Pantheon had no theming, though is consistently talked about as an amazing coaster, and gathers hype & attention, its a success
  • DarKoaster always has a dumb long line (cuz of low capacity, not because they did a good job with theme) so they probably see it as a success
  • LNM was a big theming job and probably has not shown any return as far as new hype, they probably only see the retracking as a success to extend service life
I am frequently a pessimist here, and I got a lot of flak for how pessimistic I was during the lead up to DarKoaster (*cough* I was right), BUT, and here is the plot twist of the century, my gut still thinks this ride will turn out alright. Cuts to the station, though I would prefer not to have cuts to the station, are not the end of the world considering the ride this thing is trying to be a direct successor to. Stations back then were rather unimpressive, the ride itself can make up for that. I think cuts are a step in the wrong direction, but I guess what I am saying is I still have hope.

And if I can have hope, you all can.

Was there yesterday (Mon.), lift track up maybe 45 feet, seen from near Festhaus. Maybe it was the sun starting to go down, but that red really popped, like a column of blood. It was dark by the time I went by on the train but seemed someone was still up there working. Supports also visible from Verbolten, but they erected a fence so you can't see that way from the bumper cars (closed).

I can't speak for the corporate end but everything I have heard from credible sources in the park is that they are EXTREMELY happy with the response that Nesshas gotten and that there are fairly solid numbers backing up those feelings.

On the Nessie take, I for one have seen a tremendous increase in the interest in Nessie for parkgoers this year. The upgrades to Nessie have done a lot for that coaster, and I have seen a lot of kids suddenly become big LNM fans due to the upgrades, as well. I’d probably count Nessie’s retheme as the biggest success for the park this year.

BBW's station was large, airy, and pretty utilitarian. I'm looking forward to entering Drachen Fire's old station again for BBW2, though. It was heavy on the wood theme with some nice details here and there, and had a cool textured floor which for multiple reasons I assume is long gone. I hope some of the relative charm of the original station will be retained or recreated.
