The Virginian-Pilot said:
“This attraction is unlike anything we’ve ever done before,” said Kevin Lembke, Busch Gardens Williamsburg Park president, in the news release. “We’ve created an experience that combines storytelling with family-friendly thrills. Guests will feel completely immersed in the story of the Bavarian village, as the sound of screams and the echo of a howling wolf creates chaos in the familiar town.”

Are we being trolled right now? Are we on Candid Camera or something? Ain't no way BGW published a press release with that quote.

ISN'T LITERALLY THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS PROJECT THAT THEY HAVE DONE SOMETHING VERY MUCH LIKE THIS BEFORE?!

Clearly, they’re offering free samples again next door

For anyone remaining unsure of KD's choice of the name "Rapterra," evaluate your lives.

This stuff underlines my feelings that BGW has been one of the laziest, low-effort parks of its kind with nearly everything it has chosen to build, theme, and name since InvadR. I'll even go as far back as Tempesto for that matter.

Sure the ride might be "fine," but to my 37 year-old self who knew and loved the original BBW and screaming through my tears on the last drop of its last day in operation in September 2009, this is somewhat horrific.

It will be impossible to ride this and not unconsciously compare it (unfairly) to the original with this (apathetic) naming scheme intact. I can see the headlines now: "Does the new Wolf live up to the hype?" "Can this Wolf howl like the original?" Its already painful to envision...

I'm shook, and in the wrong way. I'm almost angry the park is doing this, and I'm rarely ever angry about anything like this, ever.

BGW is clueless, and I'm sick of seeing it manifest this way, year, after year, after year.

So they don't know what DarKoaster was supposed to be either?

It really is just this simple.

Briefly scrolling through the Instagram comments... people LOVE it already.

I have a feeling that tune will change monumentally when the public learn the ride is A) probably going to be more tame than the original, and B) Does not do the main thing BBW was famous for: Swing.
People are saying they never got to ride the original and are so excited to ride this one and I'm already disappointed and angry that they're being lead on like this. I tried to leave a comment to let people know that it wasn't going to be the same, but I'm not sure how much to it'll do. People are going to have their dreams crushed by this no matter what.

^This. The one thing that made 1984's BBW special IS NOT PRESENT on this iteration.
