Also what the fuck was even the point of the vote? are they even going to use the names... at all

The point of the poll is that they are creatively bankrupt and unable to come up with a single good name. They just took three options, didn't bother workshopping them around at all, tossed them into a poll, and then, when people would inevitably say "hey, this name sorta sucks" they could always just point to "well, the people picked it!" to deflect any responsibility.

My assumption is that the public reaction to the three names was far worse than they anticipated (pssst, BGW, anyone here could have told you that) so they just went with the lowest hanging fruit available—stealing the name of The Big Bad Wolf.

I propose the community designation of The Medium Mild Wolf for the new coaster.

Double "the" and double "wolf"! It's awful.
Totally agree. If they were dead set on reusing the Big Bad Wolf name and giving it some sort of subtitle/suffix, there are infinitely better options than one that’s 50% redundant with itself.

If the first three names we got were generated by ChatGPT, this one sounds like it was inspired by a concept from a 13-year-old thoosie YouTuber. (It has the same energy as every thoosie RMC concept being called “Iron [Coaster’s Original Name]“ or “Revenge of [Coaster’s Original Name]”.)

Frankly, I’d have preferred something like “The Big Bad Wolf: Chapter 2.” It fits the storybook chapters the park used to tease the ride, the Big Bad Wolf is a famous character in various storybooks, and in my eyes it’s a more respectful homage to the original ride by squarely positioning this coaster as a different “chapter.”

Pretty sure those teaser videos were written by ChatGPT, too!

Briefly scrolling through the Instagram comments... people LOVE it already.

I have a feeling that tune will change monumentally when the public learn the ride is A) probably going to be more tame than the original, and B) Does not do the main thing BBW was famous for: Swing.

It *feels* very Top Thrill 2, but unlike TT2, I have to wonder if the target demographic actually knows or remembers the legend this coaster is based on.

In that case Wolf's Revenge seem like it would have been better

Tbh I wasn't a fan of any of the poll options so this feels like a good option, could be worse

'Big Bad Wolf: Wolf's Revenge' would've been my final choice ultimately

I wish they would at least have the train go over a waterfall at some point like on the original.
Agreed! I think the biggest miss with the ride, even more than the lack of swinging, is the lack of any meaningful water feature. I would argue that BBW’s final dive down to the Rhine was more iconic than the swinging — and I’d argue it’s the second thing people remember most about the ride, after the village.

At least we have that fountain-for-ants planned for the village, but leaving the finale bare is a disappointing choice. A waterfall, pond, or stream would go a long way to at least bring back that feeling of swooping over the water on the final drop. And since the new coaster will have floorless invert trains now, that would be a really cool experience to just skim your feet over the water. They could even build something pretty tiny and add some “wow” factor with a splash effect or something, sort of like what SWO’s Manta has.
