Is anyone else surprised by the lack of construction progress made for this new ride. It's now almost may and there is no movements made yet to start building this thing besides the fact that all the howl-o-scream props have been removed from the nevermore house. Aka drachen fyre station. And Witch Of the Woods has also been cleared out. Surely a project of this size would have needed to start by now. And we all know how inspections have been going for the park. And it's also almost hurricane season. Like let's hear your best guesses as to when this thing will be opening. Because if they don't start soon. It might as well say opening in 2026.
As of right now 04/15/24 they still don’t have an approved site plan, which means they don’t have any of the permits for the next stages of construction. I still stand by the statement that we won’t see any actual progress till midsummer at the soonest. But I don’t think there is any reason to worry, that area of the park isn’t occupied so they will be able to work even during hours of operation so they have plenty of time, in my opinion.

View attachment 32194also to add as to how we know nevermore has been cleared out. As you ride the train you can see straight through the building now.
You can also see parts of it sitting under the new special events pavilion.

Also it was April of 2019 thar we saw the first moment on Pantheon construction with an at the time planned spring of 2020 opening. Given that we expect this to be a significantly smaller ride I thing we can extrapolate a shorter construction period.

That said a couple items of note as of this moment the boneyard is still very much occupied and in use and my understanding from reliable sources is currently there is no deadline or even time table for that to change. Also of concern permits are still listed as pending. This has led to some very interesting rumors that at this point can not be verified.

Yeah, there's absolutely zero reason to be concerned right now timetable-wise.

To be fair, the layout sorta skirts around the southern border of the boneyard. There's a good chance they can actually retain boneyard access through this project.

Also also, per multiple internal sources, this project is still very much moving forward as leaked despite the lag on the public records side.

Do we know if there are any current rumors/mumblings of current park improvements for the anniversary? Such as restoration efforts?

Inb4 Busch says the LNM reno took up all the budget and all we get is a knockoff of the Battle for Kings Dominion app that had Twisted Timbers represented by a “we have McDonald’s at home” version of Groot.

Generally there's a shipment of the bolt templates to the site long before any real construction begins.

They usually show up stacked on pallets like this:

Photos of random coaster bits aren't actually that exciting. Will it be cool to see track when it shows up? Certainly. If trains were already on-site, that would be pretty cool too. Minor things like bolt templates though? Doesn't really make for very interesting content. We know B&M shipped BGW stuff a few months back. We think we've seen track at the Ohio fabrication plant already. We know the project is moving forward and we should expect construction within the next few months. Sometimes it's better to just hold tight, let the rumors roll in, and wait for content to come naturally.
