I feel like riding Nacht Tower to get a glimpse of some construction was a lot more fun when there weren't 50 discord channels posting daily updates from every location involved in the project. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

We can get photos of backstage areas and off park property nowadays. Especially with a drone. We just need to know where to look. So if you know where please tell us.
Things like this are why sites like Parkfans have had turbulent relationships with parks. Drones are clearly prohibited on and over park property for very good reasons and the community has seen other people get in fairly big trouble at a number of places for either violating the rule outright or trying to find loop holes around it. One person who ended up getting permanently banned from all CF parks a few years back tried to explain that he was over the Doswell truck stop not the park. To be very clear DON'T TRY TO FLY A DRONE ON OR NEAR A PARK! It's a bad idea and if the park can trace it back to you you might find yourself not welcome there again.

I had friends in the early days of personal drones want to use them around Hershey Park and the number of hoops Hershey, who we all had a great relationship with, almost made us say not worth it. In the end they agreed to do some stuff with filming for the park and in exchange a bunch of us had to agree not to try to film other construction areas.

@horsesboy: I think I get what you're trying to say and I agree with the bulk of it in spirit, but I have to push back firmly on this line:

Things like this are why sites like Parkfans have had turbulent relationships with parks.

ParkFans has a long history of advocating for compliance with park policies. "Things like this" are very much not why ParkFans has had a turbulent relationship with parks. We have a turbulent relationship with some parks because some parks don't like being the subject journalism. Parks have had issues with other outlets and individuals for "things like this" (read: breaking park policies), but I think it's very wrongheaded and potentially damaging to the reputation of this community to conflate these two matters in any way, shape, or form. These are wildly different issues.

Checking in on some permit status, the 2025 project now has an attached new resubmitted site plans, things we do know, they have some attached out door lighting, with an old German look that will probably fit in to the Oktoberfest theme atleast. Other then that don’t see any major changes besides more call outs and labeling. (Site pending approval, don’t expect any on site progress any time soon)

On to my tin foil hat speculations played around with that site map, I went ahead and super imposed the current speculated track layout that @Zachary Soo generously provided us over on the bgwfans write up, you will see the track intersects with atleast two of the buildings so we’re either going over under or thru them. If this is truly paying its respects to BBW it would go over right? Sense it would give more of the feeling of running thru a German village. I for one think if they layed that out with a like a town hall with a clock tower or a church with a Steeple near miss this could be a respectable tribute and decent ride yet.

Another thing to note, they now have attached the storm water master plan, if you look at the storm water master plan the date is current but the bgw logo is a logo from long again so I assume that to mean that the storm water master plan in place is very old and that other plan the park currently has submitted with the county has to have something to do with this project/ future development in this area.

DarKoaster 2: Electric Boogalo

Inspired by the success of his enterprising snowmobile tour business, the ghost of King Ludwig has decided to set aside his grudges and join forces with Gerta and Gunther for a go-kart track through the Black Forest. Except the go karts are possessed, which is why it's an inverted coaster.

Building on this post, there were massive overhauls to the landscaping plans that were in the previous submission.

To call the increase substantial would be an understatement.

Has anyone talked about [Coaster101 being told that Phoenix Rising swings] yet? Seems like it could be a game changer for this project
Not in this thread. But I remain skeptical. It looks like this will be getting near-miss theming and high banking that wouldn't be physically possible with any appreciable amount of swinging.

The only appropriate name for an invert with swinging trains and elements like what you described: Jackass: The Ride.

So the full Coaster101 article says the swinging quote really was from someone on the engineering team and not just some marketing guy. Nonzero swinging is good enough for me at this point.

[Phoenix Rising] will sway. but it won't swing. It's more to smooth out the transitions then to make the ride experience a "swing". Think more along the lines of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Now imagining that combined with the really curvy piece of track here:

I think this would be the best of both worlds - invert reliability and tight clearances, suspended flow.

Jackass was on MTV, right? Yet another opportunity missed by Paramount Parks. 😆

some sort of spinning ride with the bull from JA2 at the center. ideally one of those fair rides where you can spin your car as well. Onboarding instructions provided by Steve O. Cha-Ching!
