I would add I have heard a different company named as at least having looked at the project from a source that had correct info predating the height test. That source did NOT name or know if that company was the one building it but that a company other then RMC was on site looking at the land early in the process.

So, we have literally nothing but a max height location, and soil testing in the boneyard. What signs exactly are pointing to an RMC hybrid?

Nothing REALLY, but I would say that the 220' height we know at least points to it not being Drachen Spire (or a slight reworking of Drachen Spire) and does line up with the (admittedly old/outdated) trend of BGW building a slightly larger version of what BGT gets (Iron Gwazi is 206'). That's a bit of a stretch but I can see why people are running with it.
The rumor is also that looking at the response BGT got from Iron Gwazi caused the park to reevaluate DS and look into some other options for the space and this is what came from it.

I will say that my current belief is that this is an RMC and I haven't heard anything to change that.

This wouldn't be abnormal in the beginning stages long before they would have done soil tests or anything. The park likely had multiple manufacturers look at it and give their proposals for what could be built based on what BGW was looking for.

The fact that they needed to see IG's reception to realize RMCs are beloved to the extent that they are says a lot. Everyone could've told you well before COVID that it was a free pass to unlimited thoosie attention and GP "oohs and aahs".

I swear SEAS exists underneath a rock completely oblivious to the market around them as though it has no impact on them.

I have to imagine that if BGW is getting an RMC soon, the decision was made before IG opened to the public.

It HAS been complete since March 2020, and just by looking at it, you can tell it was going to be a hit.

I don't think that they needed to wait to see that they were beloved. I think it was more that seeing just how big of a reaction and excitement there was for IG caused the park to reevaluate the plans they had for the coming years. I agree that this began happening before the rides open, but before COVID it wouldn't have been able to change that DS was coming in 2021. COVID gave them the chance to really look at their plans and move rides around and reconsider some plans.

It's why DarKoaster is happening before DS, they were able to move their plans around.

Someone well above me at work framed something this way to me once and it made me really change how I think of this stuff:
If the people at the top know 100% of what's going on, upper management knows about 50%, mid management knows about 20%, front line management about 10%, main line employees about 1%, and the public about 0.1%.

Based on the speed that most of this is happening, it's easy to see most if not all of this was planned and they are just shifting timelines around. It's much more common than most people realize too. My personal take with the RMC thought and waiting on IG was more that remaking IG was an easy way to start a relationship with RMC to see how the relationship goes before diving in fully and building a ground up coaster with them.

Mythology:
Hurnen Sifrit decided to slay the dragon, and take the treasure that it guarded a hoard of gold. He hid himself in a covered pit, and when Drachenstien passed above it, plunged his sword into the dragon’s unprotected belly. After killing Drachenstein, Hurnen loaded the treasure onto his horse, and left.

I would be shocked if there was anywhere near this amount of lore

SEAS: "We see this and we're big fans of where you're going but... try this on for size: how about some lightning?!"

As someone who grew up a huge BGW fan in the pre-Griffon 2000s, the fact that BGW is adding coasters three years in a row is crazy to me. I love this. I really hope RMC isn't just a pipe dream here. It would make such a fantastic addition to this park's lineup, and I'd really like to get a coaster with a lift hill after so many launch coaster installations. I was also not super jazzed about Drachen Spire just because I'm not a big fan of shuttle coasters, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see a shift toward something that seems to have so much more potential. Really pretty exciting times at BGW now, even if the park doesn't quite have the enchantment it had back in the "golden days."

If it is an RMC, would you prefer a hybrid-coaster or a raptor track single-rail coaster? The closest raptor track is in Six Flags: Great Adventure.
