If Drachen Spire as leaked is still in the cards, that would rule out the theorized Drachen Fire lift path for Project 2024. Guess we should at least start to try to imagine other ways to get to that highest point, huh?
The length of your theorized lift is also the width of Festhaus Park to the height waver spot.

This is all very interesting and exciting… I have a hard time grasping how much debt SEAS is potentially going into to build all of these things. I do believe that BGW is worthy of the investment, i just can’t imagine how this all pans out in 5-10 years.

It's completely possible that the people I've heard it from don't know what they are talking, but all I'm hearing is that DS isn't dead, yet.

There are so many dragon names that could be adapted for use in a German hamlet. I personally like the name Drachenstein, as it does a lot. It keeps the very familiar "Drachen" bit, relates to existing mythology, clearly suggests a monster via the unmistakable "-enstein" reference, works with the wooded setting, and lends itself to the sale of beer-related merch in the gift shops.
While Drachenstein sounds like a cool name, the ending "stein" (literally "Rock") implies a rocky mountain rather than a wooded setting.

e.g.: Schloss Lichtenstein

I don't think that your theorized lift path is impossible. I think it's still likely to have the station somewhere near DF to not make the walk even further.

What if…you have the Drachenfire-like coaster going on here as it flies through the field, then they build the Drachenspire with in it to “play” with the coaster as the spire rises up though a castle tower with the Drachenfire-like coaster flying around it.
Something like that.

I still REALLY don't want whatever is going into Festhaus Park to be more Germany. We have too much Germany already. I think it would be a monumental mistake for the long arc of the future of the park to make Festhaus Park Germany Part III. Earlier in the thread I briefly pitched this for Drachen Spire:

"Dragón Spire" themed to the legend of San Jorge and the Dragon. Utilize the planned "dragon terrorizes the town" theming from "Drachen Spire" and landscape the area with red roses (important icon of Saint George lore).

If Project 2024 is kicking Spire out of Drachen Fire's station building, I think Project 2024 has to become the Drachen Fire tribute. I still think the San Jorge legend is an excellent vehicle for this if the new area is themed to Spain. Obviously Dragón Spire won't work if the prominent feature of the coaster isn't a spike, but maybe something like Fuego del Dragón or even just Fuego?

I wish there was a way to add more likes to this post. Octoberfest shouldn't be home to 4 coasters! Please make this a true expansion for the 50th!!!

Personally, I think the 50th anniversary is the perfect time to add a new country. I agree that when they announce this coaster they should say that there will be another ride and a country theme coming in 2025.

It would def be rly cool to have Spain at BG, but I feel like having it only connected to Oktoberfest would just feel odd (unless it's themed to the 17th Bundesland, aka the Balearic Islands), especially since a direct connection to Italy & Festa Italia would be impossible besides a new train station.
Personally, I've always wanted that area to be themed to some Eastern European country, tho the problem is that idk which country that should be anymore. I would've immediately said Russia before, but that might not be appropriate now given current events. Best bet might be Poland or perhaps smthg more broadly pan-Slavic
PS: I've also heard Ukraine floated around as an idea for that, tho I'm not sure how well-known the country is in the eyes of the general public outside of what's going on there now. On the other hand however, maybe it could be a sign of solidarity to the ppl there? I'm not rly sure

Eh, I think keeping within historic European countries (to some degree since Germany as a single nation didn't exist until fairly recently) fits far better with the overall vibe of the park than a country officially founded at the collapse of the Soviet Union (if Google is correct). Additionally, that also would prevent any awkward political uproar or need for changing the hamlet's nationality between the current war and it's eventual outcome.

Otherwise, dragon theme for the ride is a good idea. Could it be the big kids/adult version of Land of the Dragons if more than one ride had the theme?

Personally, I think that if BGW adds a country it's likely to either be Spain or Greece before anything else. I have no inside information that's just my gut opinion on what I think the two most likely options are.
Even if those are the most likely, they still feel odd to connect right to Oktoberfest like that. I'd rather BGW take up AIR's idea and build a Greece-themed hamlet inside Pantheon's layout

I think we all would—but Project 2024 is going to force BGW to answer the immediate question of "what is Festhaus Park"—and it's gonna suck if they decide Festhaus Park = Germany.
