1000018762.jpg are we tripping? Or did the number of permits change without any new permits being visible to us. We could have swore the number was 527 last week?

JCC's system was do for a fairly significant maintenance upgrade today. There has been an online notice for over a week to expect delays during the process.
Ironic how that timing is

I also have confirmation of a few other things related to the project. All BGW entertainment stuff was cleared out from the boneyard and the fenced in storage area by the station. On top of that power has since been disconnected from the boneyard area. I think it's pretty likely we will see progress start to pickup fairly quickly from here.

Added since the weekend is a dumpster, manlift, and what appears to be a site management trailer. There are also some additional construction fences added. Also of note is fireworks shows don't seem to appear on any Friday or Saturday night schedule on the app after the 4th of July week.

Love the progress. Remind me - this is using the station that was built in 1991? (Amazing btw if so...)

Also somene better get on Wikipedia's Drachen Fire article asap...

"In June 2019, local network affiliate WAVY-TV reported that a plan was approved by local officials to construct a new ride in the former Drachen Fire location that would be approximately 355 feet (108 m) in height.[25]"

The 355 was a plan that has since been scrapped the current construction is for a much shorter ride.

View attachment 33350wow $2.6 million just on the building. That's insane. And the maintenance building is costing $500,000 which just blows my mind.

Rule #1 of PermitLink is to never pay attention to the valuations. They're broad estimates that could include or exclude any number of things.

View attachment 33349wondering what they mean by secondary entrance?

As for buildings 15 and 30, those are just archways. 15 is the replacement for/modification of the archway marking the path to Festhaus Park from Festhaus' side plaza. Building 30 is a secondary ride entry/exit for handicap riders and probably Quick Queue. It is located next to the gift shop and across the path from the main ride entrance.

Don't lose all hope for a Festhaus side entrance though. We don't have permits for such a thing yet, but there is evidence of substantial work of some sort taking place next to Festhaus in the plans we do have. Such work will almost certainly have to wait until after Christmas Town, but hopefully it comes eventually. Fingers crossed.

man. I gotta figure out how to loose some weight if imma gonna ride these rides with my daughters. I was able to squeeze into pantheon but in order to fit I had to sit kinda tall and then they said I was too tall. Physics kinda prevents them from building for fatass America so I gotta tighten up.

The construction company name is visor now it's David Nice Building which is a large regional construction company that has worked on many BGW rides and projects in the past.
an ideal commercial for them would be two guys standing in front of a newly completed structure with their arms crossed, nodding approvingly before one turns to the other and goes "David, nice building!"

cut to logo as a guitar riff goes off.
