Edit: Just in case it comes up, @CoasterBroCam no it's not open, no I don't have an operations update, yes this is the update, no it's likely not going to change drastically over the weekend, no it's not closing down forever, yes the website still says opening this summer.

Looking good! I hope they do something about the NASCAR-style curved fence next to the final block brake though; it's the only thing that distracts from the new aesthetic.

Whoever "They" are and the official Kings Dominion website are 2 very different people. Anybody in the park could be a "source" if they wanted to and provide the same darn information publicly available with the click of a button.
The website has not changed and is the source. If something changes, they will communicate it. Like @GASM said, it's not even summer yet!

It only took 2 days for this to start up again? Relax everybody, unless something truly new happens for everyone to see, there no need to keep going on and on and on. There's no need to keep speculating when it will open up. I'm sure we will start seeing more progress soon, especially since it's almost summer, the expected opening window. Will it open the first day of summer? Probably not, but there is zero reason to believe they are just putting things off.
I open this thread excited to see what the chitter chatter is about and it's the same people just jibber jabbing about a whole lot of nothing still. Not trying to sound rude or anything but the thread continues to be filled with nothing that adds to the conversation.
A friend that was hoping to ride it out some good perspective on the downtime of the delay means they are doing the repair right so hopefully this means it can be settled for a long time.
I do hope your friend is correct, that they are taking the time to get things right. Based on things i've heard on this site and extrapolating from some other sites, that hasn't always been the case. Hoping the longer delay means it's being done right, not cheap.
One of those accordion cherry picker things is in the Pantherian plaza, plus another one was parked between racer and the arcade which was one of the folding boom arm ones. May be a sign that work is resuming? Perhaps the part will get here soon or maybe it has gotten here and is yet to be installed, I didn’t see any cranes but Ive seen them park cranes behind flight before so it’s possible one is on site.
The theming looks so great! Say what you want about how King’s Dominion is handling the PR side about the downtime, they’re definitely taking full advantage to make this plaza look amazing and I’m all for it. Glad they’re really putting effort into overhauling it and I’m sure there’s even more theme work to come.
