They should fix it! I just hope they know that if no one rides it they won't be super disappointed and scrap it for cost cutting.

For what it's worth, I'm nearly certain Intamin is not doing this particular service or even involved.
But if they aren't fixing this, then what? Apparently 10s of people are waiting for this to reopen!
When you buy your car, and the transmission blows up on it, do you call the engineers that designed your entire car to fix it? Or, do you take it to a shop that specializes in your particular transmission?

My ONLY problem with ALL OF THIS is that we haven't gotten an update from KD in TWO FUCKING MONTHS! 2. MONTHS.
The people who care already know why its broke. What do you want? A rough timeframe on a fix? Why? So hundreds/thousands can plan a trip only for it to be a waste inase something else happens? Anything can happen when this gets running again
Maybe it’s because there ISN’T an update to give? What are they supposed to say? “Still waiting on parts,” “still retheming?” Unless it’s imminent, they can’t possibly have a timeline on when they’ll receive the part(s) they need with the current state of the ports in the US.
We all love coasters, but obsessing over a single one’s temporary closure and criticizing the park near daily for something that is out of their control is a bit much. I don’t recall ever seeing this kind of energy when El Toro was down for the majority of two back to back seasons, it was pretty much universally “actually fix the damn thing this time.”

I couldn't agree more. Pantherian is my favorite roller coaster, number one on my list. And yes, it absolutely sucks that it's not open. However, to get upset with the park about it's closure, and not giving updates is absurd. The last thing the park wants is one of their top attractions closed, especially around this time of the year. The park has a lot more to offer than just one ride. Rapterra, Twisted Timbers, Dominator, Grizzly, Flight of Fear, etc. are still great rides. The park has quite a few flats and a water park that's now open for the season. I've been to Kings Dominion four times this year so far and despite Pantherian being down, I've had a great time every visit.

Well if anyone wants an update the accordion lift appears to have been used to reach the train on the storage track and put decals on, both trains appear to be completely done with decals, I feel like it looks better in person than the concept art but it is still definitely nascar headlight panther. Otherwise not much has changed.
I know they’ve previously gotten custom made parts from a shop in Florida but if they didn’t know about it until the week before opening it does take some time to produce, I think on average 2.5 months which would be right about now but there’s multiple factors going into that, including how much workload the shop has.
Also a not important to theming update is they have expanded the rolling wall to completely go to the sides, idk if they don’t want people peeking or what but it’s a little funny to do that now.
I did notice from Racer 75s turnaround Saturday, it looks like the zero cars with the panther face decals added have been put back on the train. It looks kinda goofy but I’ll wait to see up close and not about to get flung out of my seat in the back car off the turnaround. Maybe encouraging?
Did you see the cable spool on its side? I couldn’t last week so that may have been moved as well. But yeah kinda hard to see on ride.
