I was distracted by the zero car eyes to notice and had very limited time to stare at anything mechanical to come to a conclusion as I was about to be launched into space off the turnaround.

Not outright confirmation but would be cool if it reopens soon
I hope they at least announce the opening date so lots of thoosies including me can be there for when it does!
I know it's not official but I hope it's at least a good sign that it will be opening soon. Gonna be there on the 11th of next month with some friends and coworkers and it would be awesome if it's open by then.
Cable spool is still to the side but there is something over there on a pallet, covered by a tarp because of the rain though. Perhaps that is the part that was needed, as the two weeks would make sense if that part is here. Just checked and the plaza is still unchanged from last picture I posted, though we’re likely to see some work soon
My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare (of people asking daily when Pantherian is opening) is (almost, hopefully) over.

A comment on the video asked about his sources, and (I’m assuming to protect anonymity) he said “several reliable sources” and that he doesn’t talk to the Dippin Dots guy for these kinds of things, which is another sign that this could have some truth to it. Still nothing confirmed, but exciting nonetheless!
Is it likely that they’ll announce the reopening date in advance or just reopen it on any given day? I was thinking they might be all like “ARE YOU READY to ride PANTHERIAN, our WORLD CLASS GIGA COASTER?? OPENING (date)!!!! DON’T MISS IT!”
In my opinion they should announce a reopening—it is a legitimately newsworthy, marketable debut.
That said, given the recent decimation of Kings Dominion (and Six Flags broadly) marketing, who knows if they will.

Was at the park today, and the FunTVs were on, and it sounded like crews were working very steadily.
I can personally attest to Brian’s credibility, he has real inside sources and does know generally what’s going on. Though I do need to warn everyone from getting too excited as the opening in the next two weeks is what KD wants to do but they haven’t gotten it ready yet so they may not reach that goal perfectly on time. Still though, if they think they can get ready in two weeks then they likely have everything on site and simply need to put it together to finish the theming and get the ride operational.

Several sources and I was only passing along what they told me. I’m sure they need the weather to cooperate of course. Next week looks hot and dry so hopefully things will move along quickly. I’m guessing they are hoping by July 1. Hopefully everything goes as planned. I’ll be back at the park throughout the week and will update if I see any changes.
I think they’re on the same breaker as FoF because they stay on for some reason.

i wonder if the layoffs are affecting the theming plans? Would we see anything scoped down? @Haunted River do you know if this is the case?
No idea if the layoffs will impact that. The cherry picker has been moved and they did add some netting to the cracks of the fence last week. I think to keep people from peeking in. Makes me think they are about to finish it up. Probably the rain was the hold up today.
