One last thing, I noticed this central design kinda looks like a moth, specifically a geometer moth (they’re what inchworms turn into). I also remembered this pin in the gift shop at the front of jungle x which has a butterfly/moth along with the other animals with temples/on flat rock. I think the pantherian arch confirms moth over butterfly, the shaping of those hindwings are not butterfly shaped at all.

I don’t think this will affect pantherian much but I do think this is hinting at what jungle x is building up to.

What could it be though?

I'm not sure why people are so sure it's opening this weekend. The crew for it hasn't even been trained to run the thing since it has been closed all year.
Supposedly crews were told to expect the ride to open in two ish weeks, but if the ride hasn’t tested yet training in such a short time frame would be incredibly difficult, I’m starting to have my doubts.

I would presume that the moth temple is what the x on the center of flat rock, the big circle on the ground, signifies. It seems to imply that when the 6 animal temples are found then the 7th temple will be revealed. We’re down to the last one with only the snake temple left (if I had to guess backlot retheme as it lunges and then coils like a snake) so after that we need the x temple to complete it.

I'm going to assume that whatever happens to FoF will be the 7th one.

A ride crew can be trained up in a day or two. Sooner if they have returners. At the beginning of the season the 305 crew usually only gets about 1 weekend of preseason training/commissioning because 305 is usually one of the last rides to be handed over from maintenance to ops. Commissioning will take 2-3 days most likely once maintenance hands the ride over to ops.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up for me!

Interesting, it seems only the one panther pillar has a door in the back while the others do not, guess that special one will go in the middle then.

I love the rocks, I wonder how much they’re going to build that up

Also seems like they all got jungle x letters on the sides of the pillars, only three I can fully see say pantherian, rush, and evade. They’re never anything prophetic but it’s a nice touch.

Has anyone else literally just forgotten what this ride feels like? Like I know what most of it is like, but I haven't ridden it in nearly a year, and I've kind of forgotten what the snaps are like. Maybe it's just me. Who knows?
EDIT: ok who moved my post about Pantherian to a bgw concept think tank?

Okay cable spool still isn’t reinstalled yet but they moved a couple things so soon perhaps?

IMG_8986.jpeg Also, one of the panther pillars says Timekee- I can’t read the rest as there’s a bush in the way but I wonder what it means. My first thought is “Timekeeper” but I don’t know what that implies honestly, this shit is usually basic. I guess that puts my time traveling tribal doozys theory back on the table?

Shot in the dark, but I believe the (now mostly defunct) Cedar Fair creative team that designed Jungle X was headed by some former Imagineers. Maybe one of them was involved with the old Timekeeper attraction at MK and this is an Easter egg? Just a wild guess. The idea that it’s another layer of lore is way cooler.

I wonder if they’ll have the old cable speed because I heard that they toned it down significantly for Project 305. I’ve only ever ridden it as Project 305, and I wonder how the original speed felt.
