So I was thinking this too:
So many people are obsessed with making this fit within Volcano's plot. What if it doesn't? Why can't the lift hill go over FoF's launch tunnel? Run up along I-305 in that massive empty (and frankly unusable due to access) plot, return run behind FoF?

I wondered this a few months ago too, and I *think* (not 100% though) that there is environmentally protected wetland on the other side of FOF. It’s hard to see in satellite view, but if you look at a topographic map of the area, there’s a swamplike area there, similar to the little “swamp” by i305’s lift. Don’t quote me on any of this though.

Nothing on the national database:

Shoot, that’s cool. Interesting that the one by 305 isn’t protected either.

No information on this what so ever, but considering that Cedar Fair is almost exclusively using B&M for their steelys I'm starting to imagine a launched version of something like Banshee.

I know, I know, a launched B&M invert sounds ludicrous, considering the brand has only ever really produced one true launch coaster and it was of the Winged variety, but hey it's something to think about.

Idk. My guess is Cedar Fair doesn’t want another chain reaction of bad events happening again, so don’t lift your expectations for that.

I hope they don't remove the Scrambler! That's one of my favorite flat rides, in part because unlike other spinning rides it doesn't make me nauseous at all. I'd really be sad if they removed it. Love to ride that at least once each visit and they run theirs fast too!

They could always relocate Scrambler to the grassy lawn next to Delirium.

One problem the Scrambler has at it's current location is that it's kind of hidden. I think that leads to lower ridership. Putting it more out in the open would help. I mean, not that I dislike a short line, but if it's between a longer line and it being removed, I'll take the longer line. Also they could alleviate that by adding a 2nd op.

Today I learned KD has a scrambler flat.

scramblers like to be moved every decade or so, just ask BGW

Just ask KD as well.

  1. Started its life at KD on the spot of the Boo-Blasters entrance plaza as the "Witch Doctor" in 1976.
  2. Moved to Intl-Street as the "Scrambler" in 1981. (I-Street remodeled for that season).
  3. Sometime in the late 1980's, was moved to CAG to the spot where the Apple Turnover was located.
  4. Was removed in either the 1990 or the 1991 season to make way for the water park entrance.
  5. Not sure if the ride went right to where it is located now in Safari Village or if it was in storage for a few years before going to its current location.

Welp time to put out a bunch of flowers like some people did for when Volcano was being ripped out

I was actually one of the ones that started that. Was just a thing to do and cause my kid was especially bummed about it being torn down. So me and some of my friends decided to do it and some others on reddit (and maybe elsewhere) joined in. I've got no regrets.
