There is theming still to come to Pantheon. It hasn’t been installed yet, but it is in production. Nothing as elaborate as Alpengeist or Verbolten, but it is on its way. The ride doesn’t open to any guests until March, so there is still a lot of work to be done to get it guest ready even though they are testing with employee riders.

Wait, you don’t mean…

I hear in Europe a lot of rides get theming later. The park is themed to Europe, so the delay is part of the theme....

Was on Apollo and saw crates next to the fence that said "theming" on them, although could have been for C Town.

^I mean attractions like Top Thrill Dragster still routinely break down. I'm not quite sure what they could have done, especially in regards to rides like Pantheon and Ice Breaker with their switch track functions. I wouldn't be surprised how easy it is for those things to set off a sensor or something that calls out maintenance and shuts the ride down. I mean Ice Breaker somehow overshoots its transport track sometimes.

TTD also closes a lot because the wind speed at the top of the tower is above safe limits even if it's not apparent on the ground, so not sure that's a great comparison.

Hasn’t SEAS had months to get these rides in top shape?

If Pantheon faces a ton of downtime early on, this will be a criticism a lot of people are going to throw at the park—and reasonably so. It doesn't look great at all if the ride that has been testing for a year still has horrible downtime.

That said, from what I've heard, BGW has actually been working on these similar/same issues for many months now. It's my impression that the park hasn't been sitting on its hands—it's just that Intamin is really good at delivering semi-inoperable products to parks. 😋

Just wait until next year's Intamin multi-launch with two fast track switches!

The nature of this ride with the fast switch track is going to complicate operations vs any other ride in the park. If this thing becomes a real maintenance queen, I wouldnt be surprised to see modifications to the ride such as enclosing parts of the ride or very worst case removing the switch part of the ride.

Not to mention that testing with water dummies provide consistent weight (for the most part) to each cycle. Once actual guests get on board- more problems will certainly arise since every single cycle will have different weight. Also guests are notorious to break indestructible things. I've lost track of how many times guests sit on top of restraints.... But really- once guests/ employees get on board expect to see more issues arise.
