Ways to get the wrong attention by BGW in 3....2.....1....... Fly a drone just feet from a coaster track.

Anyhow, I really think the queue is oddly designed. It to me when it gets up and fully running is going to feel like the queues for the haunted houses do. Its going to have a feeling of "im backstage" in the way the road cuts through the queue and you cross over it. To me, and just my opinion they should have made the bridge over the train also over that roadway. Another thought is extra queue space, in theory that road could be used for overflow queue but.......they cant block that road with any type of barriers because its a access road for emergency vehicles. Wat I mean is, they could have a gate that is easliy opened but they couldnt line up hundreds of people with temporary fencing on that road....at least I wouldnt think so. Their security and EMS vehicles use it often as well as JCC Fire needing it for access to Festa.

This level of theming is so pathetic. Completely laughable. No trees, no theme, no queue. Everything about this project is disappointing except the actual ride.

The more I see the more I shake my head.
Rather, the more you don't see, the more you shake your head...

Supposedly there’s going to be more theming out out into the field- just not ready yet. Idk if that is actually true- but I’d like to see it happen.

What puzzles me is if they weren’t going to theme the ride, why build the fast switch into the ride in the first place and instead just go with a normal blitz coaster that hits all the records they want. They aren’t marketing the switch or the forwards/backwards/forwards launch experience (which you can also get 100 yds away) so why include it in the ride design.

Using the fast switch makes sense if you’re telling a story a’la Hagrids, but otherwise it’s just an unnecessary gimmick that extremely few guests are looking for. It would be like if they built an open air version of Verbolten with no theming and that drop track was still there. It would just be gimmicky instead of being an intricate part of the experience.

I mean did you not just see people in the reviews say the swing launch section is the best part of the ride..

Huh- I heard otherwise.
To be clear they did lose one day but I was told that rides were successful later in the week.

On another front I heard the one ride limit for pass members was not enforced with Icebreaker and Gwazi so maybe there is hope for multiple rides on Pantheon

I know I'm going a bit off topic but I am curious if anybody has heard how they intend to pull off what they are calling a VIP party for the preview days. I know the park is open for regular operations and I'm sure they are not going to block people from crossing the bridge into New Italy. I have seen them unprepared for other events so just curious how they intend to hand out the "swag" and control the line to actually ride Pantheon. Has anybody heard anything?

One possibility is that they close it off around the Teacups to the general public and use the back portion from the bridge back to Roman Rapids for the event.

There was no one-ride limit at the pass member preview events for either coaster.

I guess the question is if they treat the VIP events differently. There is no limit for passholder previews on either Ice Breaker or Iron Gwazi, but I didn't attend either of those as Paasport to Thrills VIP events.

I agree, especially if the switch track proves to cause a lot of downtime. That’s a high cost both up front and in the future just to have a switch track that happens with our back turned. A very similar sensation is available nearby with Tempesto like you said.

In hindsight, it would have been nice if BGW had dropped the switch track feature and instead used those funds for theming, landscaping, etc. But I know that the lack of theming is because of late-game budget cuts, not because no one cared from the get go.

Also they could have at least ironed those damn banners haha. They were very clearly unboxed and strung up in the span of 10 or so odd minutes. Makes me really think they are temporary; they look so cheap like they’d fall apart after one season.

I’m not doubting that part of the ride is really fun, I just don’t understand the investment from a corporate management point of view if you aren’t going all in with theming. The swing launch isn’t marketable to anyone outside a few enthusiasts, so why do it if you’re not building a more immersive ride experience. The only thing I can hypothesize is it being a pet project of someone in executive leadership that just ignored reasonable business evaluation and signed off on this.
