RE: Successor Project to the Big Bad Wolf

Yeah, they aren't using the old footers, they just don't want to pull them all up until they are certain how they'll need to grade the land for the new project. I guess it'll save a few bucks to just do all that work at one time rather than do it, then come back and possibly have to regrade the land again.

I'm positive you know way more than I ever will, but are they definitely not using them? Please correct me, but haven't companies laid footers for coasters before and another company came in and built the actual ride? Could it be the same kind of thing, but with years between the two? I'm desperately clinging to the hopes of a reincarnation of the Wolf and I really need to let it go. :p

RE: Successor Project to the Big Bad Wolf

Hopefully the theming of the base of the Drop Tower will be as cool as Hurakan Condor. Its pretty awesome looking, and knowing how important asthetics are to BGW, I don't doubt they'll come through with a great design.

I find Drop Towers to be good fun, but the coolest thing of adding one is the fact that we will have an amazing new perspective of beautiful Busch Gardens. The views are gonna be killer and I'm sure when its all said and done, the majority of the visitors are gonna love it.

I can't wait to hear about the new coaster (details of which I'm sure are a ways off) that will inhabit the area of former BBW.
The land there supplies such an awesome landscape for custom design. Whoever designs the new coaster will have a ball coming up with the layout. Also, seeing as how BBW was such a fixture and a huge part of the park's history and its visitor's memories, I suspect the new one will be in homage to it to some degree.

Exciting times ahead, indeed!

I promise, the BBW as you know it is gone forever. :(

I know, LoveDoc. I need to make my peace and move on. Eventually. I'm still working on Drachen Fire.

Whatever is in the cards for the area/a new coaster will be great, I'm sure. I hope we get some technical details Saturday, but I acknowledge we probably won't.

RE: Successor Project to the Big Bad Wolf

Yea, I doubt we'll hear any details about a coaster until next august/september.

Apparently there are now some rumors coming from employees that suggest the new coaster going in is going to be another hyper.

Obviously I'm taking this with a grain of salt, while I think it's unlikely that a new hyper would go in, I heard from another person that they spoke to an employee that said the new coaster would be a combination of Apollo's Chariot and Griffon. I couldn't figure out what that could be, mostly because it never occurred to me that another hyper would go in. Let me preface this next sentence with an acknowledgment that this is speculation to the max.

What if the coaster going in is a floorless hyper? Forget the fact that to fit a hyper into that area would probably require it to be a triple or quad out and back, let's have some good old fashioned speculation!
I think they should build a roller coaster like Dominator at kd...

Please don't quote posts form 355 days ago. The information contained within the post is obviously outdated. Furthermore did you really need to quote someone just to say that you want a coaster like one at Kings Dominion?

Oh godddd i can't believe this. If our drop tower is like dr. doom im gonna cry.
Man tht is one of the worst tower rides to meee...

I think Dr. Doom was only referenced to give a clue about the base structure (i.e. enclosed base), not the ride experience.

Personally I'm hoping the theming and base will be as cool as Hurakan Condor.

Thank you Pandora. It takes more effort to hold down a key than it does to just press it once.

If they dress it as well as the did Darkastle then I'll be happy.
I just pray it's not Vampire themed, that thing would be dated in a hurry. anyone else remember the Wild Izzy? yech...
