Concept art is concept art. You normally don't get what you see.

I do agree though that I have some concerns with Zierer though. All of their products look like budget versions of coasters made by larger companies. Wicked looks like a cheap Eurofighter and Crossbow and Force One look like budget versions of Mack YoungSTAR Coasters or Vekoma Junior Coasters. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a budget version of TH13TEEN.

See what I mean?

Guys if it isnt one thing its another how about let bgw do their thing and build this amazing looking,"family-coaster." and why would you need thick steel for an indoor portion that looks to only twist and turn for all we know the ride could use the heavier track for the outer section of the ride. Btw didnt they say it was something totally new for zierer keep that in mind too. ;)

Italian Job stunt track is a fun ride with decent themeing, and considering how many times ive ridden it, I'm almost positive it is a "real ride".... Only complaint I have about the ride is the billboards...

Also, why would they add a more support to a coaster that probably wont be doing anything too amazing to require extra support? To double the cost of that portion of track to make it look fancy and require it to be further above the ground? Ha...

Anyways it's just CONCEPT ART. It probably wasnt drawn by anyone affiliated with Zierer anyways. Artist probably just wanted to save some time with the drawing....

I don't know. I would put Back Lot in the same category as a decent wild mouse or other smaller ride. A "real ride" would be a much more formidable coaster. That's not to say it isn't fun, but Back Lot is by no means a "major attraction" especially for a Busch Park. That's just my opinion.

And I mean, hopefully the ride does something that REQUIRES the extra support. If it doesn't I agree with you. Of course they shouldn't double the amount of steel they need to manufacture the track. If all of the track is the same as Force One, I simply don't like the way it looks. Tek was right. It looks like a carnival ride that's going to snap off.

Swiftman, lol! I think Th13teen is a already a budget version of Th13teen...

Concept Art is often looks much different than the final ride- especially for Busch parks. Case and point:

SWSD's Manta is a Mack coaster. Mack launch coaster track looks nothing like the track in that picture.

Screamscape is working fine here. There were some people having trouble with it on TPR last night. Don't know whether or not it's still going on.

On a completely unrelated note....can anyone else not access Screamscape.com?

I cant reach it either it thought it was my connection

It would appear that's not the case.....Hmmm.....Connection to them posting those drawings and concept art?

Swiftman, are you involved in this? Last I heard you were doing everything in your power to rectify the fact that they posted these

EDIT: Ahhh, okay...still wondering if it being down has anything to do with the pictures...

I'm sorry, I wasn't referring to concept art. I was referring to those schematics that were posted. Those schematics are very detailed, and they are specific. So I was saying if the park made those pics, and follow through with them, then the track will be just as they drew them up. The track in those plans was flat, just as most of Zierer's coaster tracks are. BUT... I do agree, I hope the company does attempt (hopefully sucessfully) to foray into bigger designs with this Project 2012.

CarterGee, Chris received a request from the park to pull what we had up and not post any new ones. He was going to get Screamscape to pull the ones up there as well but after talking it over with Lance, they decided that they might as well just stay on Screamscape.

From what I understand, we don't plan to release anything else on the project.

So. I noticed that the concept art has a watermark that isn't BGWFans. That looks like someone's number. Looks like someone is in trouble? And, if Screamscape got ahold of it, did you guys give that picture or where did Screamscape get it?

The concept art isn't ours and yes, someone is probably in a ton of trouble. Each watermark number was exclusive. Our pictures didn't have any watermarks whatsoever which is what made them safe to release. If you see a picture with a watermark (that says something other than BGWFans), we didn't (and would never) have anything to do with it.

PS: Screamscape just tweeted that his site is indeed having problems at the moment.

Yeah, I was familiar about the whole watermark thing which is why I was asking. Do you have any idea what site/who else would have access to these images and thus the means to distribute them?

Well if anyone was to distribute them, I imagine that they'd have to be watermarked versions. That would mean that they would need be edited to death in order to hide the source's identity. From what I've heard, the pages are absolutely covered in watermarks. Other than the member on TPR who leaked the concept art, I don't know anyone else with the plans. Sorry.

In other news, this is my 2,000th post!

Yay congrats!

Speaking of that concept art, and knowing that concept isn't always accurate, anyone have any idea what that brown thing under the track is? (posted this cropped image without any watermarks from Screamscape. Figured this is fine because everything is public on Screamscape)

MOD EDIT: Do not reposts these photos, even if they are from another site.

Remember they also make a lsm launched tower launch coaster. So I think we will get a hybrid between those two.

When it comes to what kind of ride, I would definitely say an elevated seating coaster. With this being touted as a "family coaster" I wouldn't expect this to go much faster than the BBW and the launch stats for the elevated seating coaster are pretty much dead on. I dont think this ride will have much in common at all with the vertical launch coaster Zierer produces. Im basing this assumption on what I saw the trains would look like and what the track looks like as well as the layout (which resembles Force One most closely)

The reason I'm mentioning their launched tower is because the Elevated Seating coasters are not LSM. They are chain lifted then drop to get their speed. I imagine they will be using the LSM technology they use for their launched tower for this ride. I don't think there would be a tower launch in the ride, but this has to be a unique ride for BGW since Zierer doesn't make an ESC with LSM.

^Yeah, i totally hear that. The launch speed for something like Wicked is 90kph or about 50mph which would be comprable to the speed of the BBW.

Also, not to argue, but if the images are staying on Screamscape with a watermark without BGWFans' then what's the harm in reposting them here since they're technically already public? Especially since you said BGWFans has taken no responsibility in releasing numbered images.
