Ok, when I was at the park today (well yesterday now), I saw surveying being done here:

If it's for Project 2012, I find it very curious that they'd be building all the way out there- Maybe it's just me, but I didn't expect the coaster to go very far out of the old Big Bad Wolf area. Can anyone else think of any reason surveying would be going on back there?

It's also worth noting that land clearing and terrain flatting is being done behind the area that was used for the village area of the Big Bad Wolf...

O, one more thing: I looked for Gropplo's mysterious buildings and saw nothing- you must be losing it Gropplo. ;)

I've heard that it may reach all the way back over the tracks like Drachen Fire once did.

I think it's gonna have a much larger footprint than we originally assumed.

Well lets look at the overall length of Cheetah Hunt. That coaster has a long out and back, so I'm not surprised its going back there.

I hope that this coaster is fairly long, because the Griffon is pretty short. I mean it is still an amazing coaster, but I think a pretty long coaster would be nice. Also a thought on the clearing, could the clearing be for the building that we are expecting? Because the actually launch may not be in the building, but the coaster may at some point pass through the building. Also, question. Will the train station for BBW be used for "Project 2012"?

This has probably already been mentioned, but will it be used as the station for the new coaster or is this new building they are building going to be the station?

the Griffon

I am sorry to be a jerk but PLEASE, for the love of god, don't say THE Griffon. I am sorry for calling you out but this is just one of those things that drives me crazy. Same thing with THE Alpengeist. You don't need to do the extra work by typing "the". GAHHHHH

</end rant>

PS: Sorry for being a jerk but please stop doing this. And that goes to everyone not just you coasterfan94. It's nothing personal.

I really don't understand why Busch wants to put all this new stuff in one area. Having Mach tower, the pretzel shop, and the new coaster all right next to each other makes me think it'll become really bottlenecked.

That side of the park had no significant draw whatsoever after wolf left. Crowd flow is going to be thicker no matter where, what, or how many of something is being built. That area is one of the better areas to build something like that now with the three pathways in and out of it.

This thread has 104 pages to it. Is there a place I can go to get all the accumulated details about the 2012 and 2014 coasters without scouring through these pages?

If there's anything you specifically want, type it into the search box (at the bottom of the page)

I was thinking more along the lines of a page on the BGWfans.com site that had an article that told us what we know so far? I just don't want to have to scour through hundreds of pages' worth of posts to find known facts about the 2012 and 2014 coasters, especially amidst rumors and speculations. I know it may be asking a bit too much...

...In that case there is not barely any "concrete facts."

This is what the official 2012 project page says:
2012 Attraction

In 2012, Busch Gardens will deliver a world-class coaster experience like nothing before. Set in the re-envisioned Oktoberfest section of the park, this sleek launch coaster design utilizes electromagnetic technology to propel riders through a high-speed thrill packed with twists, turns and plunges. This new coaster will feature many “firsts” when it debuts in the spring of 2012. Fans can visit www.facebook.com/buschgardens for the latest construction information and park updates.
Unfortunately there are no construction updates on the facebook page

RE: Successor Project to the Big Bad Wolf

I was hoping they would add Scandinavia for the next land. That location would be perfect, just off the Rhine river and next to Germany. The food would be easier than Spain. They already do Turkey legs. Also, the theme would be more fun. Lots of Vikings and the like.

I also thought that they could finally do something with the Rhine River Tour and turn it into a Viking boat ride. If they brought the land down to the water's edge, the boats could be used as transportation instead of just the tour.
