Griffon construction began in July; announcement came late August.
Cheetah Hunt construction began in May; announcement came mid-October. Every park does it and have been for years.

BGT didn't announce details until after track arrived on site. Too bad we all already knew the details.
 
I bet with this we'll get an earlier announcement. Remember this is replacing the wolf... They need to build the hype... I wouldnt be surprised if there is another cheetah hunt type release with different pieces of info released every now and then until the big announcement...
 
Maybe Verbolten still won't be the name. remember, there was a time Griffon was thought to be named IronEagle:sleepy:!
 
It would be funny if they used Verbolten just to fake us out and get off the scent so its still secretive considering all of these fan sight are good at getting un proved but likely knowledge.
 
that is exactly what Busch Gardens Tampa Bay did with Cheetah Hunt... they had a website named cheetaka.com. they are very sneaky

I have a tad bit of info. The word I've heard is they will have the complete plans April 12th. I've also been told the preliminary plans that some people have are water marked to who they were issued to, this way if any show up anywhere they know where they came from. Just this little bit of info makes me wonder how much of a misinformation campaign they are running. If they are that secretive about the actual real info, I find it hard to believe that much of the info we have "heard" outside of what is officially announced, multi launch coaster with a large portion inside, is true.
 
Ok I read on another forum that there is apparently a sign behind the bumper cars that says and I quote, "Restricted Ride Access area for *insert awesome German word that I forgot here* Verbolten"....

Somebody needs to go back there and try to snoop this out..... thanks

To help find the sign, i quote: "You can see the sign when you stand next to the kiddie bumper cars, facing BBW's old station (I believe the gate is underneath the awning so it may be a little easy to miss)."
 
+1 "Thanks" to the first person to post a picture of the sign and exactly what it says! Better get to it before the park catches wind that someone found it...

If you're referring to the gate next to Kiddie Bump's entrance, I believe the sign only says "authorized personnel only," "limited access area," or something similar.

I don't believe the park would put a sign up stating a ride restricted area for an unannounced coaster. If anything, I think it would only say "Rice Restricted Area - Contact Unit 90 for Access."
 
Yeah guys why would they designate an area a ride restricted zone when the ride isn't there yet?
 
Shhh, we want to get to the bottom if this. The only way that's going to happen is if someone gets a picture. I'm thinking it's not there, but if people think it is, lets see it.
