Well I don't see why ours couldn't be much different if a lot of the ride is taking place indoors it doesn't have to rely on intense elements for it to work. Some people are clamoring for a unique family coaster, some want the most intense coaster. It's possible we could be getting a similar Mack coaster with intense theming.

We'll, SWSD really just needs something decent and small that'll draw in more crowds. We however need something amazing that is replacing a one of a kind coaster that alot of people were disappointed over. Seriously, I expect our Coaster to be more K-A than the Orlando and easily more so then the SWSD coaster. I also think that the time they announced it says that they really have put alot of effort into it. Unlike BGT and SWSD, BGE has hype to live upto....

I use to work at SWSA and the coasters over there are alright, but don't come close to BG's coasters. I have never been to BGT, but from vidoes and pics I have seen it seems that SW's coasters are calmer and BG has the more extreme rides

Its not going to be Mack. Mack has previously stated they are only building one coaster for North America in 2012. Intamin is more likely!

I cannot wait until 2012 to see what they have in mind at BGW. My only concern for when this opens is that you will have the MACH tower on one side of the path and the new coaster on the other side Plus the main crossing bridge to Italy and the BEER GARDEN nearby all in one area (unless im wrong then disreguard). All this adds up to lots of people small area.

Guess I will not have to wait long to get on the Griffin in the 2012 season.

I could be out of the loop, but is Intamin out as a possible manufacturer? Why couldn't BGW's new coaster be more like BGT's Cheetah Hunt, another multi-launch coaster being built within the chain?

^No. I have seen many hints that Intamin will be the firm to do it. I fully expect it. I cannot wait for construction this upcoming year.

It depends on how much faith you put into Screamscape's sources. Months ago he posted that his sources told him that it would be from a German company. Intamin isn't a German company.

At this point, I'd be more suprised if Intamin wasn't the manufacturer.
It makes sense if you look at BGW and BGT's history of lining up coasters together.

If I remember correctly (do not remember exactly where I heard this) but I thought they were going to be building another bridge or something like that to help with the flow of traffic...that's just what I've heard...I mean it makes sense :/

The only bridge that I know is being built is the "themed bridge" for the ride that is the tallest point of the coaster. Now the Italy bridge could be getting work done to it on the Germany end which could be described as bridge construction.

To say this bridge is highr than the ride itself is hard to imagine.... somebody put it in perspective for me by comparing it with the height of something in the park....how high is the thing supposed to be????

I wonder if it is going to be part of the ride, unless its taller than the ride. I can't remember what was said about the bridge as far as height and all that goes.

This is from Griffonluv at bgescape:

This is hard to explain without giving anything away directly. Basically, from what we were told, the entire train will move backwards onto a platform that will rotate you 90 degrees, shoot you up, stop you, flip you on your stomache, hold you for 5 seconds, then let you drop and continue the ride.

I think we know what our bridge is now.

There are so many questions. I'm not looking for any actual answers, but there's a lot to discuss with this new information.

Does the train go back through the station after getting launched up to the top, or is it something similar to Revenge of the Mummy, where you go forward to a scene, then dropped down and rotated around?

Yeah, it sounds like this will have a vertical turntable, which will be crazy to be on.
