Let it be known that Busch may have been expecting leaks and fed fake info just in-case the info got out. Also, the gentlemen said it was just one of the ideas that they were considering.

I've read that the waiver for the coaster would be around 80 feet tall, so the 300 foot one is prob the fake info (sorry, I can't remember the site right now!). Hopefully Busch Gardens isn't going for a "kiddie" launcher like Pony Express. I would expect this would be more like Seaworld's launching Manta, not Cheetah Hunt at BGT. Plus, if Mach Tower is going to be the parks tallest ride, they're not going to wipe that out the following year:sleepy:.

If it is really 300+ ft, Busch gets the title for tallest coaster in VA back from King's Dominion. We have had that title since Nessie was build.

That would be just plain funny if they got a 304 foot coaster:D lol!

They wont get a 300 ft + coaster, Kings Mill will fight that one to the death

Kingsmill doesn't hold the same amount of pull it used to. There are always at least two residents at any planning commission meeting that object to ANYTHING the park does. They make no difference. The board votes against the residents of Kingsmill all the time, the main reason being the residents (the vocal ones) just don't want any progress at all.

One thing I have never understood... Busch owns/owned Kingsmill...I am not sure which came first, BG or the community. However, that was in the 70's I am sure residences have changed owners many times. So obviously if someone moved into Kingsmill they know the park is in their backyard and can't exactly plead ignorance...if they can't handle the noise or the tall rides why move there in the first place? Just shut up and let the park build and if you don't like it move. Odds are the park was there before they moved in anyway.

Oh guys:dodgy:

This is not a 300+ ft coaster. Lets get real here. At this point in the game its impossible for it to be that tall. All construction waivers must be made public in James City County and a balloon test would have been conducted at the 300 ft height. That didn't happen so no 300 ft coaster. And if somehow BGW was able to keep that hidden then they would have pissed off a lot of people with this in the community. My guess? This was something leaked to see who is leaking and then fire that person.

My thinking is that this won't be a huge coaster, not even over 100 ft. tall. The coaster arms race has changed from the biggest to the most immersive experience, I think that's the route the park is taking.

Rooting out a mole (or moles) might be a possibility.

Carl Lum was one of the people in the room talking about the ride. If they lied, that's just shameful.

How do we know he said that? Lets use our common sense here, this isn't a 300 ft coaster!

I have no reason not to trust my source. The only way my source could better prove that what they're saying is true is if they met me somewhere, told me in person, and showed me pictures they snapped at the meeting. Everything my source has told me matches up perfectly with what is coming from other people. If it isn't 300ft, it's not because of the sources, it's the park.

This is just so hard to believe. I mean there is nothing at all in the system that says something is being built thats 300 ft tall. For this just to come out of the blue is incredibly unlike BGW. Not to mention a bad way of doing business.

How is it bad business? They can tell who they want, what they want, when they want. As long as they haven't broken ground on anything out of current waivers, they're good.

When were height waivers filed for past coasters?

I was only able to find Griffon's and its height waiver was filed 1/23/06 and had a balloon test with it.

I said it was bad business if they sneakingly went and get that height clearance without any public notification.
