RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

i cant wait it s prolly gonna be an INTAMIN wish it was B&M, I'm a very big fan of B&M so would love it and since i worked at Cedar Point(less) sorry, all the intamin rides there i did not really like i enjoyed riding them over and over but they always had so much down time and waiting for replacement parts and it just seemed so sad that the main rides there by intamin were always down and disappointed the crowd and then would have to go thru the spiel not sure when it will be back up but working on it. Then the new part would come in and boom down she went again so I m just hoping for an awesome coaster since i drive 4 hours to get there and so sad BBW is gone but hope it is great and busch gardens has a knack of giving us some of the best thrills so cant wait :p

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

Do to problems with motion sickness, I can't ride many coasters with inversions (one of the many reasons why I loved the Wolf). The new coaster can not have inversions if they want it to be family friendly.

Hey all,

Check out the article in the Virginia Gazette! ;)

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

Apollo's Chariot has the loudest cable lift in the world. This whole time I thought it was a chain lift!

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

More terrible Virginia Gazette reporting. Saying Apollo has a cable lift...idiots.

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

Of course the other problem with the article is that TTD and KingDa Ka don't use electromagnetic launch, they are launched with cables driven hydraulics.

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

Not saying they're legitimate, but they never said those two had electromagnetic launches. They were just comparing them as popular examples of very fast coasters.

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

i think a magnetic launch will be a bit diffrent for busch just like the droptower but if they can theme it perfectly than im in.

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

I was just happy a newspaper reported on something in regards to the new coaster. You have to understand that the majority of folks writing the articles haven't a clue about how coasters operate.

I finally figured it out "Grace" This clip is a bit longer than the last two.

Thanks. As soon as I figured it out, you posted the answer.

i wish they would do the samething for BGW.

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

so i just watched the 4th clip for BGT's coaster and after watching all the clips im beginning to realize that the coaster is actually very family friendly in a way. only one inversion with a barrel roll and no real height

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

Yes, but if Williamsburg's coaster follows suit that means we get Intamin's dreaded OTSRs (over the shoulder restraints).

RE: Who will make the "Multi-Launch Coaster" for 2012

I personally think it will be Intamin, but if it's not it will more than likely be mack. Although I'm hoping it's a Intamin because the only other Intamin I've ridden is volcano and that can't really be compared to this except for the launch.
