Say you level Pompeii, replace it with a dark ride about Greek mythology and surviving the wrath of Hades and the Titans. I say if you add a Greek themed restaurant, it would be awesome.

Does a dark ride and a restaurant count as a hamlet? :s

Remember, that area is only big enough for one ride. It would take some serious cramming to get an entire country in there. This ride can't go for spacial reasons more than anything else.

P.S. Unless anyone has really heard anything about EFP's removal, this should be under Concepts. Not Rumors.

Actually, you can do a lot with the area if renovated correctly. I wrote up a whole concept in the Concepts thread about it.

No this is rumor not concept. As I stated before, we know things...

Same old, same old, juicy details please.

Why are you guys listening to Shane when he says he knows things? Guys...have you ever thought of the idea that I know things? But sigh....you didn't ask me and my feelings are hurt and now I won't tell you about the first ever wooden Eurofighter that the park is adding in the Pompeii building only after they remove EitA and replace it with a fully upgraded Corkskrew Hill dark ride.

But I've already said too much.

While I was at the park over the weekend I checked just how much space is between Nessie's Cave and Pompeii's event building. I honestly think that if Pompeii's event building gets knocked down and a new coaster goes in its place it won't be that big of an issue if they keep to these guidelines:

There won't be any issue with encroaching on Nessie as long as they:
-Don't touch any trees.
-Don't go above the tree line.
-Simply reuse Pompeii's building.
-Don't even think about coming within ~30 feet of Nessie's Cave.

I have said before in a different thread.. they should improve EFP. Add out door track and another water drop. Add it to the back so that it is hidden. Like the Atlantis ride in SWO.

Just put a massive dark ride and some flat rides in it's place....God knows we've got enough roller coasters in this place already. We don't need to become another Six Flags clone....

But the park is in need of another e-ticket attraction. And when they do so, they need to not knock down another attraction to do it. Then of course, properly advertise it.

Big Bad Wolf was at the end of its service life, and it was already one of the few parks with a ride of that kind left. Hey now doesn't that sound familiar?

As for the "I fear BGW turning into Six Flags" argument. BGW has 6 coasters in the park already. That's already well above a sizable chunk of parks in the country, hell even more than SOME ENTIRE STATES. Saying that BGW will become overpopulated with roller coasters is just an overreaction to something that's already technically happened compared to amusement park norms.

Also of note, Six Flags parks suffer from a severe lack of flat rides, and good golly BGW is in some pretty dire need of flat rides, too. I guess they're Six Flags quality since they are similar to Six Flags in one highly vague field of many? If there's one extremely vague term that's really been irking me lately it's that one. In all honesty one more coaster isn't going to kill the park, and that coaster is going to replace a ride that's a mechanical and maintenance nightmare and already at the end of its service life. Just like Big Bad Wolf.

They could put a dark ride (themed to Pompeii of course :p). Then you can knock out two pins with one ball. Two trees with one lightning bolt. I think you get the picture. :p
