If Pipeline is a success, do y’all think that the Surf Coaster model will only stay within SEAS parks or do y’all think that other parks might be interested in getting one?

I'll get to most likely ride this later this year, so my opinion may change then, but from what I see, this is mechanically a new take on the stand up design. I'm sure you wouldn't have to theme it to surfing/skateboarding/snowboarding to make a good ride.

This is giving me traumatic throwback memories to the pain caused by Mantis' bicycle seat... and then slamming into the brake run with only a small bit of hard vinyl keeping you in place. Oh, and that vinyl seat is almost surely positioned in the worst possible way for, well, "parts".

Was hoping to see something changed with these (ideally dampened vertical movement of the torso portion of restraints to prevent the "seat" pain), but now I'm a tad worried. Hope the new restraint design accounts for this.

I heard from someone who was there for that but he said it was much much more comfortable than the old designs. Said it felt like there was some more give, but launch as opposed to lift along with the smoother peaks and valley’s have done this style wonders. He said it feels more like floating along than anything.

Throughout the video you can see some of the riders lifting their feet in front of them and essentially sitting on the seat. I can’t imagine ever doing that on the old B&M stand ups, so these seats must be more comfortable.
That sure looks like Airtime to me! They're not lifting feet "throughout", only on the hills. Of course it could just be Spring-time and that might even happen if they could put those seats on the old ones. Getting any real airtime on the old B&Ms I've tried would definitely require some imagination.

I rode Georgia Scorcher for the first time Sunday and it was my first B&M Stand Up in years. I have to say I remain skeptical about Pipeline until reactions come out because as a 6’2 guy I really did not enjoy Scorcher. The train ran smoothly and I can see why people like it. I just do not like this seat configuration it is extremely unpleasant for me, so hopefully this thing rides very differently than a typical stand up otherwise it'll be one and done for me and if it's a massive success a major source of dread for more stand ups popping up in spaces for perfectly good for "not stand ups" everywhere.

I’m the opposite, I love green lantern and the seating, I’ve kinda mastered a way to find a comfortable standing position

Aside from comfort I'm not sure how this is different from a normal stand-up? They don't seem to be bouncing up and down, or at least if so it's not obvious in the video. Of course if it is comfortable then that's big.

Some fairly negative comments about it on reddit, some more positive. One person said the restraints were very uncomfortable (they are 5'10" and broad shoulders, was mainly complaining about the vests), while another made no mention of that, but did say it could still be an, let's say, uncomfortable ride for men (though wasn't for them). Also apparently major loading issues with the restraints with checks and rechecks over and over. I look forward to hearing what park fans folks have to say about it.

Personally I find B&M restraints uncomfortable in general. Let’s just say their split leg bump is a little big. Then on top of that the vests are not a one size fits all. The fact that B&M is the only manufacturer that has to make an “XL” seat to start with is somewhat telling.

Aunt certified review time here we go

very good ride, bounce works great, if you resist the bounce it will hurt you. Vests don’t hurt at all, very fun and definite 2 at the park, merch expensive as hell, launch is fine but not very powerful, very intense.

Also she’s kinda gp but kinda a thoosie but she thinks it’s better than velocicoaster
