I'm curious if anyone knows the exact block setup for Pipeline because looking at the final brake run, the brake would belong to the final brake run instead of the transfer block as the train ahead begins launching before the train has fully exited the transfer as it approaches the station. That brake would be the only way for the train to stop as the FBR is on an incline with only magnetic brakes. I imagine when the train parks on the transfer track (if the station is occupied), that the transfer and FBR read as occupied. As the train approaches the station and the train clears the brake at the beginning of the transfer segment, then the FBR block becomes cleared. Then once the train parks in the station, the transfer block reads cleared.

Fascinating point there. It sure does seem like it operates that way with 'overlapping' blocks on the transfer. Very neat! It looks like Train 1 is allowed to launch when the front of the Train 2 is at the midpoint of the station, so I assume that's the point it's deemed fully off the transfer block? Cause it doesn't seem like it launches when the friction brake is clear, but more towards the end of the transfer.

I got the chamce to ride Pipeline yesterday, and upon approaching the ride, I seriously questioned if I should have brought a cup with me on my trip to Florida. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by this ride, and I am looking forward to riding it again tomorrow!

One tip for anyone coming to SWO to ride Pipeline. You need to head towards the bridge that crosses the lake, and then bear right along the side of the restaurant. It s a new path that goes along the side of the lake and will take you to Pipeline.

We were in Orlando this weekend for the OI meetup at Universal but planned on spending Sunday at SWO so that we could ride Pipeline. Apparently it’s been down for a few days but started testing again today. Oh well

Yeah, some really bad weather screwed up the park on Friday and it knocked out pipeline for a couple days with some faults that took a bit to clear. The rest of the park was fine and resumed operation pretty quickly.

Interesting, we were at USF when the rain came through on Friday night but between riding Jimmy Fallon and then rushing over to Mummy we did not notice how bad it was. We ended up riding Velocoaster & Hagrids later that night so I’m glad they weren’t affected by the storm

It was less the rain and more the wind. The wind was making lights flicker throughout the park, park music was constantly cutting in and out, all store registers were going offline or even shutting down completely and rides were losing power. Pipeline was the most severely affected, for some reason.

I missed out on Pipeline a few months ago because it wasn’t open when the park opened. Then it randomly opened mid-day and ran 90 minute lines the rest of the day.

Behind a paywall, so I can't read the full details but it appears that B&M are being sued by Vekoma for patent infringement related to Pipeline.

With Penguin Trek reportedly featuring similar seat motion technology - perhaps this is in fact the recent issue that has reportedly arisen with that project?

No it doesn't....

It is not. However, the situation that arose (panel-related) is going to be resolved a bit quicker than I had anticipated.
Hence I said reportedly - I have no inside information, but SWO media reps did mention that it would feature the seat motion technology at IAAPA.

As with Phoenix Rising though, just because something is said does not make it true so you may end up being correct.

According to Vekoma, this is the patent that B&M is infringing.
