I'm cautiously optimistic. I don't think B&M would be launching the product if they weren't confident they had fixed the comfort issues with standups. I expect it to be very, very tame—probably one of the "most-forceless" of the "forceless" B&Ms. I suspect that alone will help a lot with the comfort issues. I expect it to be fun and interesting, but not a standout.
Of course it won't be a standout, it's a standup

I honestly expect this ride to be a surprise hit. I've seen a lot of discounting on it most places, but I could see this ride being a surprise standout and catching people off guard.

I'm part of the unseen, silently-moving-among-you-all crowd that loves the old school B&M standups, and has no complaints whatsoever about comfort when riding them.

Totally looking forward to riding Pipeline someday, and seeing where else the ride system might find a home.

(To hell with the truly old school Togos though. They were pretty crap after the first drop and single loop.)

Simple question answers if it's good or not: airtime. Personally I'm thinking the moving seats are a bad sign. However the launch should be someplace between cool and awesome.

Maybe this is a nitpick, maybe this isn't. I'm also not 100% sure on this as SEAS is constantly changing the rules. It is my understanding that the path to Pipeline from the park's entrance will remain the same as it is now, with some additional path closures as well. These closures are meant to drive traffic into the park's gift shops afaik. Consider this the ultimate version of being forced through a gift shop at a ride exit. Now to get to a ride, existing paths will be (or remain) closed to force you past the majority of the park's shops any time you wish to get to and from the parks major attractions.

I have included a crudely drawn image of the pathway closures, the routes that are being blocked, as well as the anticipated shortest route to Pipeline. If this is correct, despite being right next to the entrance with an existing pathway leading directly to it, Pipline will be the longest walk from the entrance.

This would be insane, especially since they are spending the money to completely rebuild those pathways that lead right to it from Dolphin Nursery.

I could see them doing a Mako, when to avoid crowded bottlenecks in the immediate aftermath of opening they routed people over the bridge and around the lake to the ride in the morning, but this was only temporary until crowds became more manageable.

Much more consistent testing happening.

Looks like the red bars going across each row of the train may be how they're weighing down the train to simulate riders. Just a guess, but kinda neat if so since normal water dummies would be difficult to work with.

I have to believe this is just temporary if true. I thought part of the reason for the project was to be able to open the full lake loop? Also, early Project Penguin plans all were clearly designed to facilitate entry from the Dolphin Nursery side. If they really modified their plans to change that, I'll be dumbfounded.

Im really hoping for the same as well. The reasoning I heard specifically mentioned the shops near trappers so if that is true, honestly at this point I'll just laugh.

That is complete BS, they plan to use the path they are literally building right now. They are literally curing the concrete for the path between the waterfront as well. The only path that won’t be regularly used is the area near the sea harbor pavilion.

you can see the pathway nearby flamecraft that has been blocked off in this video at 3:47. You can also see pathways that lead from the bridge around flamecraft are being updated. It might not be as bad as having to cross the bridge in that case, however you will still be required to walk past all the gift shops in the area whereas for the longest time you could simply walk around Flamecraft.
