Good to see construction on this is picking up speed. If they keep up the current pace... well, I'm actually still skeptical this can get done before summer. But maybe at least sometime this year!

It will be done quickly-- chain lift is much faster to get up and running than LSM/LIM launches. It could be ready in June for a July 4th opening weekend.

I do think getting the track installed by then should be feasible at this current rate. What's getting me is that there's so little else done at this point: no sign of landscaping or theming work, the station building is currently just a half-skeleton of cinderblocks, and none of the other ancillary stuff is in place. Between all that work and all the testing required (which could take longer than usual with the onboard audio), I'll be amazed if they get this ride open by mid-late summer.

This thing is really flying up now, interesting how crews have started working backwards from the brake run now. Wonder if they’re leaving the space in front of the station for last to make it more accessible to continue work there? Regardless seems like we’ll see a completed layout maybe as early as within the next few weeks. I’ve heard internally from a friend that works at the park they’re shooting for a June opening.

From Midway Mayhem’s latest video: that mini S hill is going to HIT. I had no idea this was going to be part of the layout, lots of NL2 mockups of this ride were close on the full layout but I don’t think any of them had this. Instantly my most anticipated element on the ride!

I need some alone time with that picture.

“Hey, can I use your laptop?
Yeah, go ahead.
Okay, thanks.
What the fuck?
Holy shit! Dude, what's the matter? What happened? What's Going on?
There's so much coaster pics!
What the hell are you doing looking at my private shit?
What do you mean “private shit?” Warfelg it was WIDE OPEN!”

Per source: as of tonight Phoenix Rising’s final track piece has been installed!
Daaaangggg! I knew it was going up fast, but that was fast. Of course, getting everything else installed and operational is another hurdle, but at this rate I’m getting ready to eat my words about this not opening before summer. This is like one of those fast-tracked military construction projects where they build a whole neighborhood in a week.

It’s super interesting how construction went from a snails pace to the entire thing flying up in a little over a month. There was a point where I wasn’t even sure if it was going to be open before Howl-O-Scream. From what I’ve heard the original plan was for it to open by Memorial Day weekend, that does seem a little optimistic but I would be shocked if it wasn’t open before the end of June.

Like Phoenix, it do be rising

Breaking: parkfans users start to realize the BGW family invert will not be that bad after all
In a vacuum, it’s a great addition. I think the kicker for a lot of people (myself included) is the land of the former attraction it’s occupying. Just feels like a missed opportunity with what they could’ve done there, but if it were going anywhere else in the park it’s a home run.

My biggest interest now that the layout is complete is what the train is going to look like in its entirety. I never believed the swinging seats rumor for a second and don’t expect it whatsoever. I’m interested in the restraints: are they going to be Penguin Trek-style with the new B&M lap bars or the vestless vest restraints on the family inverts in China? Last I’ve heard haven’t seen it confirmed either way.

These ones in the pic.

The ride itself was never the problem. The use of a prime location being downgraded from a STANDOUT, HEADLINE attraction (the RMC), to a relatively insignificant (but lineup-wise, absolutely still welcomed) addition, is the problem. But we've been over that ad nauseum.
